I use this TLM49 to record vocals. I have used entry level condensor mics up until now and thought I might take the plunge with a high end purchase. The difference is very apparent. A lot smoother and pleasant to listen to. It sits in the mix very nicely and the track comes together effortlessly. I haven't tried other high end mics in the same price range or higher but will not be going back to buying entry level or mid price gear.

Theres no choice better than M-149 for vocal recording, specially when you use it with an AMS NEVE 1073 mic-pre, it sounds amazing and nothing can compare with it.
