Neutrogena Advanced Acne Serum 30 ml

I purchased this product online from the chemist warehouse, after using this and the cleanser only two times it had burnt my skin so so bad. My skin is so red, irritated, cracked dry and itchy. This has never happened to me with any product before. It’s been about awhile since I last used it and I still cannot put any kind of product on my face due to effects this product and the cleanser has had on my face. Super disappointed and upset as I have acne and now I look 10 times worse. :(

I still get very small little pimples around my chin every so often, but they're so rare and small that I hardly notice them - and they're gone in a few days. I've used so many acne creams and expensive acne serums that just didn't work well for my skin, so I'm so happy that this serum has really worked for me, especially given that it doesn't even cost half of what I was paying for other products that promised the same results. The serum itself doesn't feel greasy on the skin, is light and absorbs well and I don't notice any smell to the product. Given that's it is a 10% solution though, I you're not used to chemical exfoliants I'd definitely recommend patch testing before using.

I bought this on special from Big W two weeks ago. I have dry, acne-prone, sensitive skin in my mid-30's. I use this with the Neutrogena Oil Free Acne Wash 2% Salicylic acid. I'm used to exfoliating wash and wash off masks but this serum is the first leave-on exfoliant I have tried. I use it three times a week on nights that I don't use my retinoid. So far, I find it gentle with no irritation at all. I find my skin more smooth and moisturised in the morning after. I also love that it's fragrance-free! *Warning: start slow if you're not used to exfoliating acids and apply on top of moisturiser to minimise irritation.
