I have an oily scalp that has to be washed every 24 hours with 95% of various conditioner I've ever used. This conditioner is definitely designed for oily hair!! I use it only at my ends and work it towards my hairline on the back of my neck. My family loves the citrus grapefruit smell, very refreshing. My daughter and I have been using this for the past 2 weeks and the bottle is not even 1/2 an inch empty. This Neutrogena Healthy Scalp Clarify Shine conditioner goes a long way with a 2-4 inch strip!! I have to used double the amount with other conditioners. At first I thought these are not the biggest size bottles of shampoo why would I waste my time? Well here is why, open that lid and smell, yes it smells like a grapefruit. Not only is the scent so wonderful but I have long hair that is beyond the middle of my back and even though I only use shampoo on my scalp I still usually need quite a bit of product, for once I seriously didn’t need but a quarter size amount and it lathered so much, if you close your eyes you will swear your just smelling the freshest grapefruit. I am reviewing the shampoo and conditioner as a pair because that's how I've used them. I can't determine what each does independently. These products work really well. They do as they claim to make hair feel fresh and clean. I don't have any leftover residue feeling as I often do with other products. At the same time, it didn't make my hair feel stripped and dry. I noticed my hair was smoother than typical after blow drying but it wasn't as soft as it normally is. If you know the Neutrogena pink grapefruit scent of their face products, this smells exactly like that. It's very wakening for morning showers. Overall, it's a great product that I'll continue to use but I don't think it's any more special than some others.

Not something I plan to use again due to it just being too drying for my hair, poor bottle design and overpowering scent. It is very deep cleansing to the point that if you don't use a good conditioner it will be hard to get a comb through your hair as I found out when I was already out of the shower.
