No scent issues. My youngest (3 years old) can apply 80% of this herself with no issues as well. Awesome for daycare ages to adults! Note: the larger size can be tricky to apply on very small kids' faces, but there are smaller similar products for that if preferred. Still much easier than a standard lotion or spray.

This is convenient if you're not looking to get spray sunscreen or oil everywhere, but I think traditional sunscreen is still more reliable and makes me feel more protected. Still, I leave a stick in my bag because it's more portable and less likely to leak or stain things. The application is pretty smooth, covers a lot of skin and glides on easily. I prefer to use at least 2-3 swipes, and then rub it around to ensure I'm properly covered. The initial swipes leave a light cast, but go away once you rub it in. I think this is better for body since it can feel a LITTLE oily and may clog pores. I love that it doesn't have fragrance, too many sunscreens smell so strongly of coconuts and weird "tropical" blends!

The stick applied quickly and didn't take much rubbing to absorb fully. Left a hint of a white film and no scent. I found it was easy to get just the right amount and not too much. But it felt drying on my skin. This might have been due to use during winter when the air is dry. I will test it again in summer. I applied to dry, freshly cleaned skin every morning, but I think if I were at all sweaty like when I try to reapply midday or while on a hike, I think it would be difficult. Something to test next summer.I gave up on this product and decided to try something else mostly for the drying effects on my skin. I don't want a sunscreen that I have to layer on top of a moisturizer. I've recently tested Neutrogena Sheer Mineral face sunscreen and felt it was moisturizing.

Purchased this “face and body stick” to re-apply my sunscreen in what seemed to be a convenient manner. The product is advertised as “ultra sheer” and “non-whitening.” Without a definition attached it gives the impression that there will not be a white cast after application- not accurate. I have a medium skin tone and will say that I need to rub it in so that the white cast it leaves goes away. It leaves a waxy feeling on your face as you would experience with many other sunscreens. I’d say the “dry-touch finish” is more of a wax finish than dry touch. Definitely not a product to apply to your face when wearing makeup. Good for no makeup days and arms. Surprisingly, the finish of it just doesn't look good/soak in so well (ON ME) if I just try to apply it on top of my beautiful morning skin ha. But after washing I'm left with a SMOOTH, subtly-brightening vail of moisture after applying it.My forehead, cheeks, front and back of my neck all get the AAD's recommended 4 swipes back and forth and smoothed in treatment. Other areas like my upper lip get a swipe and then I go over the parts of my face that are "closest to the sun" like the apples of my cheeks with an extra swipe. I don't feel like I'm skimping but time will tell and I am not a sun-worshipper. I just know that I love that I don't look like a skin-obsessed ghost after I'm done applying.Since I've been using this sunscreen stick I haven't reapplied because I've not had whole days in the sun. I love this for these reasons:1. easy to apply without getting hands dirty. Also can reapply without having to wash hands first.2. Doesn't causing piling of my makeup. It seems to be a good base for makeup without causing my foundation to pile or breakdown.3. Does leave a tiny white case but I cover it with makeup so it's ok.4. No other members of our party used the Body Stick and have developed the hives despite being in close contact with our toddler (I co-sleep). Also, our toddler had minimal contact with other children at the resort. We have concluded that the allergy is related to the Body Stick, and are currently reviewing the ingredients between the Body Stick and Ultra Sheet to determine what might be different and what could have caused the allergic reaction from the Body Stick. We used the Ultra Sheer all summer in 2022 so do not think the allergic reaction is related to that product.
Seriously. I have fair to light, neutral cool skin, so I typically dont have any white cast issues when it comes to sunscreen as long as I rub it in well enough. When I say that this sunscreen leaves a white cast, I mean it turns my skin AT LEAST 2 shades lighter. The smell is also really off putting when you wear this sunscreen all over. To make matters worse, this stuff doesn't rub in like at all. I got out of my car an entire hour after applying this stuff, and when I accidentally rubbed my calf up against the outside of my car, it left a massive slick of sunscreen smeared on my car. I don't understand how anyone would ever want to wear this.
let me just preface by saying that i have oily skin… I’ve been on a hunt for a good sunscreen that doesn’t make my face feel as if i dipped it into cooking oil. this sunscreen has done such an amazing job at not contributing to my natural oils. i don’t feel like a grease factory after it settles. i can even reapply this product, and still not have the greasy affect that almost all sunscreens have. at least for me. however, this sunscreen does leave a white cast. after applying, i try to rub the sunscreen in to see if it’ll make the white cast diminish if it absorbs quicker. there’s maybe very minimal impact to the white cast with that method. overall, i would definitely recommend this to my oily girls that are looking for their holy grail, with small imperfections.
