These shoes are very comfortable. I was looking for some casual shoes that I could use that would not tire me after a couple of hours walking, and these are perfect! The first time I wore them, I did have to break them in a bit, but after that, they've been incredibly comfortable. I recently recovered from a broken ankle and have been gradually increasing my walking distance. These shoes have been great in providing the support and cushioning I need. They’ve really helped me ease back into my routine without discomfort.

I bought these shoes for my daughter in a size 7 she is 14 and has narrow, long feet. she loves them. They’re trendy and neutral which is what she wanted for her clothes to match. Unfortunately the same shoe wasn’t made for wide feet. My younger son has flat feet and we tried getting a size bigger (8 M) and it still was uncomfortable. So if you’re debating whether to get these shoes I’d say go for it if you have skinny, long feet! Other than that they’re great!

New Balance has a history of selling shoes in wide and extraWide. Unfortunately, they have missed the mark and market opportunity with the 480. You have a unique chance and opportunity to pick up customers that want the style similar to Nike Court or Dunks, or the Classic DC Shoes Pure style. Instead, you’ve got nothing but air….I’d be more than glad to discuss in depth with your team.

Appearance:They are a solar-white, a bright, crispy white with almost off-white laces, I like it! I say these are my NB "AF1's" lol. I really like the style of them, they're classy and I hadn't or at least didn't remember seeing them before so I was wondering of their size-profile - and they are low-pros if you know what I mean, just sleek and great looking.Sizing: as far as the fit, I love them. Usually you need to break-in a shoe & I don't want to be misleading I'm sure this shoe will probably feel even better the 5th time I wear it than the first day; however, my point is that I had no initial "new shoe" discomfort. I got these shoes for my birthday, and when I got them, I was SO HAPPY with how they looked! But after less than a week of wearing them, they got really REALLY creased and the shoelaces turned gray! The white on the shoes started to turn a little gray as well. I’m a little disappointed but they could be worse. I want New Balance to send me new ones!
By rights, I should have returned the shoes. The quality control finish on the shoe cuts is not 100%. I decided to try and correct the issue myself. Defective shoe parts should not be used. I should not have to try and repair the shoes out of the box. But I did. My bad. Now I can’t return the shoes in good faith. The return process was not worth it to me in this case. I will think twice before my next purchase.
I ordered these shoes planning on I would have to return them as I mostly have to do shoes I order...Going through chemotherapy and radiation changes your body and in my face left my feet numb and hurting... For the FIRST time in 8 years I have finally discovered New Balance 480s... These are truly miracle shoes for me! These sneakers are like a HUG for my feet... my numbness in my feet has even improved... since wearing these. I can't wait to get up each day and wear my stylish, but most importably, comfortable and "healing" shoes in my case!! THANK YOU NB... I am now 70 years young and out and about again as if my 22 ... (WELL, ALMOST!) NOTHING is slowing me down now! I am truly thankful for your company and it's invention of the New Balance 480!
These are really uncomfortable. Whatever plasticky material they use is really stiff and folds on my feet in a painful way. I’m really unsure if these will be broken in eventually because the material is really tough and they’re not built like normal nbs. I’m pretty disappointed because they look cool and usually new balance is high quality. Not these.
I ordered a pair of these sneakers in the navy blue and white, size 9W/7.5M. So once I received the order I was expecting exactly the size I selected upon purchasing. When the package came in and I opened the box, I find navy blue and white sneakers BUT in a size 7W/5.5M...all while the new balance shoe box says size 9W/7.5M. Anthropologie, please do your due diligence to ensure you are sending the correct sneaker size to your customers! I ordered a pair of 9W/7.5M sneakers, why did I received??
