The style is really cute and looks like the most classic pair of white sneakers. There is no break in time and it doesn’t blister my feet. The only complaint is the inner arch is pretty flat. It almost feels like the outside of your foot is more supportive than the inside. But still comfortable and you can’t really feel that when you wear an athletic sock. I have narrow feet so if you have wide feet it probably wouldn’t be the best for you. Also true to size.

These shoes are very comfortable. I was looking for some casual shoes that I could use that would not tire me after a couple of hours walking, and these are perfect! The first time I wore them, I did have to break them in a bit, but after that, they've been incredibly comfortable. I recently recovered from a broken ankle and have been gradually increasing my walking distance. These shoes have been great in providing the support and cushioning I need. They’ve really helped me ease back into my routine without discomfort.

I bought these shoes for my daughter in a size 7 she is 14 and has narrow, long feet. she loves them. They’re trendy and neutral which is what she wanted for her clothes to match. Unfortunately the same shoe wasn’t made for wide feet. My younger son has flat feet and we tried getting a size bigger (8 M) and it still was uncomfortable. So if you’re debating whether to get these shoes I’d say go for it if you have skinny, long feet! Other than that they’re great!

New Balance has a history of selling shoes in wide and extraWide. Unfortunately, they have missed the mark and market opportunity with the 480. You have a unique chance and opportunity to pick up customers that want the style similar to Nike Court or Dunks, or the Classic DC Shoes Pure style. Instead, you’ve got nothing but air….I’d be more than glad to discuss in depth with your team.

Usually you need to break-in a shoe & I don't want to be misleading I'm sure this shoe will probably feel even better the 5th time I wear it than the first day; however, my point is that I had no initial "new shoe" discomfort. On the opposite, I couldn't stop thinking just how comfortable they were all day long.
Out of the box, the shoes look great. However, the fit is snug around the toe box and loose around the heel so it’s hard to get them to fit right. I’ve had many pairs of NBs over the years and generally find them very comfortable but this pair hurts my feet. :( Also, the mesh on the toe cap is stiff compared with something like the 2002Rs and after a couple of wears it began to crease. It’s also difficult to clean so the dirt really pops especially along the creases.
By rights, I should have returned the shoes. The quality control finish on the shoe cuts is not 100%. I decided to try and correct the issue myself. Defective shoe parts should not be used. I should not have to try and repair the shoes out of the box. But I did. My bad. Now I can’t return the shoes in good faith. The return process was not worth it to me in this case. I will think twice before my next purchase.
I ordered these shoes planning on I would have to return them as I mostly have to do shoes I order...Going through chemotherapy and radiation changes your body and in my face left my feet numb and hurting... For the FIRST time in 8 years I have finally discovered New Balance 480s... These are truly miracle shoes for me! These sneakers are like a HUG for my feet... my numbness in my feet has even improved... since wearing these. I can't wait to get up each day and wear my stylish, but most importably, comfortable and "healing" shoes in my case!! THANK YOU NB... I am now 70 years young and out and about again as if my 22 ... (WELL, ALMOST!) NOTHING is slowing me down now! I am truly thankful for your company and it's invention of the New Balance 480!

I was very disappointed to find that the issues that I assumed would go away once I broke them in have persisted even after a couple of weeks of wear.They’re a lot more narrow than expected (one of my feet is a little wider that the other but I can usually get away with regular fit shoes) to the point where the arch of my foot is in aching pain if I dont lace them extra loosely. The other thing is that these are incredibly hard and flat soled shoes. No type of foot support whatsoever. I got some insoles and that significantly helped with my wear time (I can now walk and stand for almost of the day in them) but baby, when they start hurting, they start hurting! Unfortunately I can no longer return them because they’re worn so if you have a little wider feet, a high arch, or intend on walking a ton, maybe skip.
I love these shoes, specifically the shape and fit. These do not have a super narrow shape, so I find them to look a little nicer with wide leg pants (I wear mostly wide leg or straight leg pants/trousers, so I prefer the 480 because it doesn’t make my foot look super narrow/out of place with the pants I prefer to wear). I also really appreciate that the material in the toe box is mesh-like, because they won’t crease or begin to show wear very quickly. I do not have wide feet, but I do hate the confined feeling of some sneakers. These 480s are perfect. They give my feet some room to breathe. I can wear these all day in comfort.
