Unfortunately I had to return these. They were too narrow for my wide feet. They felt comfortable and kind of true to sizing, but felt too tight. They could have been smaller than real sizing, I am not sure. The trainers looked decent quality and quite comfortable on my feet. Too bad it didn't fit me at all.

No Need to buy 1 size bigger. 40,5 is suitable for 40. Very comfortable,
Love a New Balance trainer & these are quickly becoming my new favourites! Great fit & super comfy. Highly recommend!
I did need to go up half a size in these (compared to Adidas and Nike), but they are so comfortable. I’ve never owned a pair of New Balance trainers before, but had read that they are recommended often by podiatrists. I have Greek feet (longer second toe) and sometimes struggle to get a perfect fit. I could walk/run for miles in these. Fantastic sake price too.
