I was a little disappointed when I first saw them, I have shopped at StockX previously and I’ve always been glad and satisfied with the presentation of the product firsthand, however, this was not the same, mainly because I feel like the process of quality control wasn’t follows thoroughly as it seems like the sneakers were a little dirty and had dust on them. I wasn’t that upset so I didn’t ask for my money back or another pair, because I also had a little delay problems with the sipping which was another issue as well, so I decided to keep them, but my experience wasn’t as pleasant as previously. I will have to think about it twice before buying another pair of sneakers at StockX, or recommending the website to a friend.

Good shoe for the money

I bought these for work because I needed something all black. I usually purchase New balance because they're a little more comfortable. It's the first time I've purchased the 550. I usually wear shoes from the 800 series. When the 550s arrived I was very surprised by how heavy they were. They are a sturdy shoe with a thick rubber sole. The shoes don't have much bend in them. I'd say they feel almost like a low top boot. I've only worn them for a few weeks, but the shoe seems like it will last quite a while with heavy use. I'm pretty happy with the performance of the shoe, however I wish they were a little more comfortable.

Good shoe, bad leather.

Leather quality is terrible, with a thick plastic coating that looks cheap from a distance and like a well worn white patio table up close.The overall silhouette, and the other materials, are all A+ though, and otherwise live up to and perhaps exceed what you expect from a New Balance in this price point.This shoe is built like a nice boot, with a full length fiber glass shank above the middle to give it amazing stability, making it very comfortable for standing, driving, or bike riding. It's a lot stiffer than you want in a walking shoe, but it's been tolerable for 1-2 mile strolls

I was shopping in the store for the red/wht/blk version of the NB 550 , but also, they wasout of stock ? therefore , I've made the purchase on the store website, Howevere, while Iwas in the store I made the purchase of the royal blue/wht/blk version , now I have 2 pairs.

I bought these shoes while they were on sale and I got them for casual wear. I'm usually a 9 in women's shoes and the size 8 in men fit me perfectly. They are very comfortable, however very narrow. Got so many compliments while wearing them but will definitely have to break them in a little so that they feel less stiff.

Most uncomfortable shoe ever purchased.

These are literally the most uncomfortable shoes I have ever owned. Do not buy them for work, do not buy them in general. They will kill your feet and Hibbet nor New Balance will do anything for you after purchasing and wearing them. I wish I could give negative stars for the entire experience.

NB 550 Size Is Inaccuate

The New Balance 550 is serverely undersized. Many reviewers stated the shoe is a bit larger than stated size, but that was not the case with my order. The 11.5 US size were substanially shorter than my other same size New Balance athletic shoe, and even the width was much narrower. I had to return them. It has been 10 days since return and still have not received an acknowlegement of their arrival, though the carrier states they were been delivered a week ago.

Narrow toe box

Decent traction for court play. Shoe length is OK. Upper material is super stiff; it took several hours of use to break in. Not like modern mesh materials. Toe box is much narrower than normal sport shoes. If you’re on the border between standard and wide, this is one style to definitely get the wide size if available.

They LOOK Really Good

and that's probably why you're checking them out. And yes, on feet they really look fantastic and tie many outfits together. However, the leather quality is questionable. Dropped mine once and now have a little permanent dent on the left toe area. Additionally, the fit is a bit weird. Size 13 felt like the right length but the shoe would slide up and down the heel thanks to the tongue being so far forward (making for a huge opening). Had to go with a size 12 even though I end up having to curl my toes a bit cause...you know...anything for the drip. The actual construction of the shoe seems extremely sturdy though, as is usually the case with NB, and it looks just as nice in person.

Very Disappointed. This shoe is extremely tight

I had high hopes when I orders these because a friend of mine recommended them to me. Honestly I was so disappointed. I wear size 10.5 and I've never had any issues with shoes being tight the 550s are extremely narrow in the middle to the point that it was painful to wear. In terms of length they do run true to that length. But the width is VERY tight. I returned them. the size 11 was also very tight only longer
