I usually wear women's size 8 and ordered these in a men's 6.5 in the white/white colourway. Would have grabbed womens, but they're never in stock or gone before you know it! Fit is good, albeit a little tiny bit big. Might have gotten away with a men's 6, but women's 7.5 is usually way too tight. I'm almost always a EUR39. Didn't want to chance sizing down. So far so good, but the only thing annoying is the exposed midsole foam. Dirty in 5 minutes of wear. Are they the most comfy shoes I own? No, that title goes to my 990v5's, but these 550s are a totally different look. Good shoes overall.

The. BB550 is a very attractive shoe, quality craftsmanship, and comfortable for walking and casual wear. Compared with other NB shoes, the 550's run more narrow. I can normally wear either a size 13 D, 13 2E, or 14 D in 990's, 860's, 880's, 1080's, etc., but with the 550's a 14 D is the smallest size that fits comfortably. They are also quite stiff when new and take some wearing to break in. Overall, I really like these shoes and already have several pairs in different colors that I wear often. Others will undoubtedly be added to my collection as new color ways come on line. Give them a try but err on the large side to get a comfortable fit.

The BB550 in dark blue is very attractive. I wear these strictly for casual wear and can wear them all day standing, walking, driving, etc., in comfort. They fit to size in length but they are more narrow in the mid foot and toe box than my other New Balance shoes. I replaced the supplied flimsy laces with high quality laces that stretch easily. That, combined with loosening the laces compensated for the narrow width of the shoesI really like the 550's and have several pairs that I wear often. I highly recommend them as a good looking and fun shoe to wear.

I have yet to see any real helpful reviews for those are looking to purchase these for the first time. For reference, I normally wear a size 12US in Nike, Vans, Adidas (Jordans, Eras, Boosts, etc.). For ALL New Balance shoes I've ever purchased, going down a half size is a must for me, and I did so again with these (11.5), and they are a perfect fit, as expected.Know that you are buying a full cut shoe, meaning these puppies are meant to be laced up right and tight. If you leave an eyelet open, you're almost assuredly going to have some bad heel slippage, just the nature of these shoes. But if you can get a perfect fit, and lace them up completely, the heel slippage is very minimal, and you sort of forget about it. Regardless, don't expect these to be molded to ... MoreI have yet to see any real helpful reviews for those are looking to purchase these for the first time. For reference, I normally wear a size 12US in Nike, Vans, Adidas (Jordans, Eras, Boosts, etc.). Sizing: first impression was "oops! They're to narrow, I should go half size up". But actually when I walk in them few minutes I changed my mind. Length wise they're perfect. And actually my foot lift out which is a bit annoying, so definitely it was a good decision go true to size. Half size down will be to tight. Shoes looks really nice, and this combo with green is a pure Perfection
I’ve had a few pairs previously so I was aware 550’s can fit on the smaller side. I am a size 6 but as they fit small and I struggle to find a half size in these and a 7 being too big, I take out the insoles as they’re quite thick and replace with a thinner one. After that, they fit great. Can be a little narrow as well so not good if you have wide feet like I do, once you wear them in they’re fine. Obviously these are leather so wearing them regularly can make them crease quite quickly which is is a shame. But the styles with the suede age much better.
I typically use sneakers on a day to day basis and searched for something fashionable and functional. These are it! I've gotten compliments on the first day of use. I would recommend going a half size up since they are a bit narrow. But other than that, the material, the comfort is a 10/10! I loved walking around in these. Went to go buy the blue ones since I loved these so much but they sold out. Would recommend for new comers such as myself. First pair of new balance and iam now hooked
Im a size 10.5 in mens sneakers for the most part and an 11 in Yeezys. The NB 550 has a large foot opening around the heel that creates some serious heel slippage. It doesnt help that the material around the heel is very silky and smooth so it wont grip onto your socks. (The forefoot at a sz 10.5 fit nice and comfortable though.) That being said, I sized down to a 10 and there was a SMALL amount of heel slippage. It seems like the cut around the heel is just big no matter what. The forefoot still felt fine. A bit of breaking in/wear will help though as it may feel a bit narrow at first. In conclusion, unless you have wide feet, id go half a size down. I have a 'normal' foot. Slight arch in my feet, I dont have a necessarily wide or fat foot either. The shoes look ... MoreIm a size 10.5 in mens sneakers for the most part and an 11 in Yeezys. These are nice looking shoes, the color way I was looking for. They definitely need to be broken in a bit and I suspect they will not be as comfortable as some of my other new balance but they are still good. My biggest complaint and what I want others to know is these are BB550 not the regular 550. The main difference I think is the toebox is/looks longer then the regular. I am keeping them because I can’t find the color way in the regular right now but it is something to know!
Always been a new balance person my entire life, wanted something new and in-style so I went with the 550s. The shoes look great but I have found walking in them really uncomfortable, especially on my big toe. I was honestly hoping I could just return them because the fit was not right for me, but I got them quite dirty for my first wear. Still love New Balance more than any other footwear brand! Just thought I would leave some constructive criticism
