I finally looked inside the shoes to find that the tongue is barely attached to the shoe. This would be an easy fix by stitching the tongue all the way across where it attaches to the shoe.

The BB550 in dark blue is very attractive. I wear these strictly for casual wear and can wear them all day standing, walking, driving, etc., in comfort. They fit to size in length but they are more narrow in the mid foot and toe box than my other New Balance shoes. I replaced the supplied flimsy laces with high quality laces that stretch easily. That, combined with loosening the laces compensated for the narrow width of the shoesI really like the 550's and have several pairs that I wear often. I highly recommend them as a good looking and fun shoe to wear.
I have a leather pair of 650s. The suede on this pair is way higher quality than the price would indicate. I have a flat foot and I think they are very comfortable.
Second pair of 550s, very comfortable, great low top shoe. New balance never fails with comfort and style. And the Tan/Beige sole compete the shoe so well 10/10 heavy in my rotation.
I typically use sneakers on a day to day basis and searched for something fashionable and functional. These are it! I've gotten compliments on the first day of use. I would recommend going a half size up since they are a bit narrow. But other than that, the material, the comfort is a 10/10! I loved walking around in these. Went to go buy the blue ones since I loved these so much but they sold out. Would recommend for new comers such as myself. First pair of new balance and iam now hooked
Indigo suede is an awesome look. Unfortunately there are quality control issues with my pair. The suede on the upper doesn't match, and the NB logo is poorly cut. I expect better from this company.
There's excess glue seeping out of certain parts that's stuck in the suede. Not exactly thrilled. Cleaned it up the best I could and it isn't horribly noticeable now... except to me.
great design,but quite narrow and long.it fits narrow and long, not true to size.for womens, it's long too and narrow. Some say it's big sized in womens, but not for me.I am a regular 9,5 womens, but I orderws a 10 due to narrowness. but best to try them on first before you buy.
