The 57/40 is the answer to a question that is simple, yet astronomical in scale. Despite its legacy of unassuming, almost effortless versatility, the original 574 was a unique design for its era, a hybrid road/trail design that didn't lean on visible technical features. The 57/40 approaches the hybrid concept with a few extra years' worth of design developments to explore, and creates a new perspective on an iconic design. An overall sleeker silhouette provided by a slimmer last combines with a range of exaggerated features. The unique midsole combines a flared take on the classic 574 construction with ‘90s tech inspired details, while the mudguard and eyerow feature the distinctive wavy embellishments of the ‘80s.

Very chunky sneaker . The colors are great and the comfort is amazing . One thing that I did not like is that one of the sneakers had blue fabric pieces stuck on the orange area , I had to pick themout with a tweezer . I feel like I would have gotten a better pair if I would of bought them in store instead of online.

I normally wear a 13 EE in New Balance so I was weary about these. I ordered a 13 and 14 to make sure I found the right fit. I tried the 13 and didn't feel the need to try on the 14s. Great fit and more support around my ankles then I had imagined. I love the look of these. My wife liked them so much she ordered some for herself.

The most comfortable and versatile shoe I’ve ever owned. A renowned dad shoe with swag. I have tried for the last 2 years now to find this shoe and I cannot find it in a size 14 anywhere. Please bring this style back… Please!!!

I bought these for my boyfriend and whilst they looked gorgeous, they were small fitting. With one foot even seeming smaller than the other. I'd recommend but size up
I was looking for shoes to wear for indoor PickleBall. I tried these on at Dick’s that has a shoe area with wood floor and the grip/traction was fantastic. Needless to say, I bought them and so happy with the comfort and grip on the indoor gym floor. NB should market this for any indoor sport.
These are my first pair of 57/40's and they are really great. I ordered a mens size 7.5 as I'm usually a 9 in women's but did end up sending them back for a men's 8 as my toes seemed to close to the front so consider sizing up .5 size. I have normal to narrow feet and they are great in that area. Very comfortable from the first time wearing with no break in period. I love the pop of color on the back while the front is so neutral. Feels like they can be worn with anything.
I'm a size 6/ 39 and ordered this size. My toes were right at the top of the shoe. They felt comfortable under foot and I liked the colours (the orange was more neon than it appeared on my screen) so I ordered the next size up (the 7). This was too wide and too long so I appear to be between sizes in this style and that's not offered.
Colour and craftsmanship of trainers do not match the images shown on website whatsoever. Completely different shoe and terrible quality. Glue and loose stitching throughout the whole sole and upper.
These are casual sneaks for bopping around in - definitely not for training or running. They are a big shoe, which is a great look, however in my opinion it's basically a Dad shoe (which I am, and old, too) that's been coolified. And that's a good thing because cool is what everyone should try to be. Give me the Fresh Foam series for real athletic comfort and performance...
Look amazing, comfortable. Great price. I love NB. These 8.5 seemed a hair big versus other 8.5 NB I own
