I buy this exact sneaker twice a year and have for 5+ years. Once in Fall and again in Spring. The have always been great ans stood up well to everyday use of an active child. No need to worry about laces and always comfortable. This pair has only been worn twice so far so I can't speak to this exact pairs durability but in the past I haven't had issues (except once with a pairs sole ripping in the front but got a replacement pair and that one was fine). Hope they come back in the larger sizes because these are a staple in our closet

The only retailer that has truly wide shoes for little kids with a selection of styles. The other kids shoe store (Stride Rite) never has enough wide sizes available and their other recommendation is to remove the insole to accommodate wide feet, which is a horrible idea. Have you ever worn your shoes without the insoles? New Balance is the only shoe I will purchase from now on!

I buy these sneakers for both my son and daughter! We love them because they are stylish and classic… and easy on/ off shoes. Please make better color options again!!!! We've loved the cranberry and dark yellow NB, green with yellow NB, the red sneakers in the photo… I'm happy to pay for these but I can't bring myself to buy the boring grey and blue… bring back the more fun colors. These are kids shoes!! I buy multiple pairs when I get bright colors. I understand making the all blue or all grey for private school as we had to buy the all navy ones for my son's school… but otherwise bring back the fun colors!!!!

Both my boys have wide feet and these shoes work out wonderfully for them. I love that they offer velcro in larger sizes for my special needs son. It makes getting on an off a breeze! 5 pairs so far
Our son has very wide foot and wears orthotics. He was crying in other shoes and complaining about orthotics. He likes this New Balance wide model. They fit him perfectly and his orthotics don’t bother him anymore. Also they are easy to put on
My son has very wide chubby feet and these glide on so easily. The Velcro strap makes it very easy to get him ready and dressed for school. NB quality is always great. I appreciate the hook and loop styles in big kid sizes. You cant find that easily in other name brand shoes. I'd recommend!

I was excited to get these for my 4-year old as his back-to-school shoes. We splurged on them because he has wide feet and NB are some of the only ones that fit him. However, the leather on the side ripped within three weeks, before the school year even got going. They are beyond the return window now, so he has just been wearing shoes with a hole in them until I can find a new brand.
This is our third time buying these shoes for our 4 year old. They're sturdy and stand the test of time, he has just grown out of them. The velcro strap is large so it's great for younger kids with less developed motor skills and they have a lot of comfy padding. The all-grey color doesn't get too grubby where we live (Southern California) although he also wore these through a muddy winter in Oregon and they also stood up well, with a good few wipe downs. I will buy these again when he grows out of them as they're the only shoes (other than his boots) that are durable enough.
