I love this shoe and it’s probably my 6th pair or 574s. I love the cushion and comfort. I love the classic look. If you have a slightly wider foot, this shoe does have a wider toe box that the unisex (gender inclusive as they call it now to appease a certain crowd) shoe does not have. That model is more narrow and not a good fit for most men. I have an average width foot but I enjoy the wiggle room. The color gray is spectacular and matches just about any outfit. The only improvement they could make on this model is a little more arch support. I find this shoe has adequate support but would like just a little more arch support and a little more heel cushion. These do have a removable insole, so adding your own for more cushion and arch support is an option. Love em!

I bought these to balance my legs while I was in a walking boot (stress fracture). These worked well for this purpose. The only negative I have is the toe support at the end of the shoe. You can see in the picture above it cuts off quite abruptly from the toe foot bed to the bottom of the shoe, this leaves less support for your toes. Overall they worked for what I needed at the time. I wouldn't have chosen them otherwise as I'm 5'7" and was not looking to add extra height.

The shoes felt a little tight when I first put them on. I thought I’d have to return them. But they loosened up after walking in them. The quality is great, the comfort is good. The only think I don’t like is I seem to trip in these shoes. I’m not sure if it is due to not being used to wearing such a thick sole, or if it’s the shape of the curve of the sole or something else. But I still really like the shoes.

I love these shoes. I was recently diagnosed with arthritis in my big toe and these shoes work well to keep me pain free. They're comfy. I read many reviews about sizing up that some needed, and some regretted they did. Luckily for me I purchased in-store so was able to try on before purchasing. I did end getting a half size larger than normal (10), and I have this same style in a different color which are my normal size (9.5). When I tried the 9.5 on in the store, the right shoe was definitely smaller than the left. This is not on Nordstrom though. It seems New Balance may need better quality control. It may just be a problem with this color. If not for the inconsistent sizing I would have rated 5.
My husband has been obsessed with the 574 Core for many years. I feel like I have joined the club with the 574+. I bought them because they looked super cute, but honestly they are insanely comfortable. I pictured these completing my daily athleisure outfits but they are comfortable enough to wear on long walks. I am so excited and await all the new colors as they become available! I purchased the color "Reflection with rain cloud and white" and they are the perfect neutral! I typically wear a half size larger in New Balance and this shoe is no different!
The best part of my order was returning the shoes. I placed my order on April 3rd, and was told the processing time would be up to 2 business days, with shipping as low as 2 business days following processing and as long as 7 business days following processing. After 7 business days after I placed the order, I noticed my order hadn’t moved out of the processing phase. I called customer support and was informed that my representative would elevate my issue to her superior and that someone would reach out to me with updates on the case via email. 3 more business days passed and I heard nothing, so I decided to use the online live chat. I reached out via both the customer support phone number and online live chat one more time each, and was told the same response from each again. Still had not received any emails that I was supposedly going to receive in regards to my order case. Finally, while I was overseas on the trip I originally bought the shoes for, I got a random email asking me to rate my order experience. I thought this was hilarious because I still had no updates on the status of my shoes, they had not been delivered, and nobody had ever reached out to me. One day after this email I got a notification from my building’s package room that I had a delivery arrive, so I assumed it may have been the shoes, despite the order status never being updated. This was on May 1st (20 business days after ordering). At this point I already had to buy another pair of shoes and no longer had the need for this order, so returned it the day I arrived home to an in-person store location. The return went fabulously and the store staff was knowledgeable and incredible to work with. In conclusion, stay away from online orders with New Balance, but I HIGHLY recommend you visit a storefront location if one is accessible to you.
These shoes are very comfy and my feet hurt don't hurt even on days where i end up walking 10 miles around campus. I am between a 5.5-6 in womens and i found that a 6 was a smidge big where the back of my foot lifts up a little when i walk. I would say that this shoe is very true to size and you can measure urself with the sizing chart on the new balance website. My foot was 22 cm and the 6 is slightly loose. I fixed that by wearing fluffy socks and also changing the lacing on the shoe so that its a bit more secure. i prefer having it a little looser than having it a bit tighter bc i have bunions and a wider foot :). the foam of the shoe does get dirty easily but wiping it with a paper towel and some alcohol or water usually gets rid of any stains. overall very cute
Love the height and comfort of these sneakers! And they look super cute too!! I’m always 8.5 in everything but adidas, and these fit true to your usual size. These platform sneakers don’t have a memory foam cushion type feel. More like a solid platform without that super pillow-like feel. However, if you’re looking to have that platform to avoid the impact of the ground more, these are great! You have a fashionable, pair with lots of clothing options (very nice with any flare or wide leg) type sneaker. Not squshy, but soft! Easy to walk in and avoids impact to protect knees, back, feet. I think these are great!!
These shoes are AMAZING!! I love them and want them in every color! I am a woman who loves high heels! When I saw the platform on these tennis shoes, I had to have them! I have the white pair. They are so lightweight and lightweight on your foot that it feels like you are barefoot and waling on air! Literally, could sneak up on someone because they are so quiet! Your foot will sink into the cushion of this shoe. It is such a great shoe! I received quite a few compliments when I wore them this past weekend! You will NOT be disappointed!! Walk on air with me!
New Balance shoes use color pallets on a regular basis unlike any other school brand on the market. I have never owned a pair that didn't garner compliments when I would wear them. Apart from that they are comfortable and provide the firm arch support while providing a soft on-the-foot feel. I haven't gone running in this pair yet because these are more my running errands shoes than jogging. The quality of the stitch is what you expect and I noticed any defective seams. The only problem is the new shoe smell was a bit weird, not as if they were worn by someone but more of a glue or conditioner smell that was a bit strong up the first inspection. I have not noticed it since opening the box the first time.
