These shoes are some of the best that I have had the pleasure of wearing in a while. I wanted to wait to see how they held up for many different uses in my life. I am training for a 5k that is coming up this weekend, and they have been so nice to wear; they are light enough that I don't feel the extra weight but also sturdy enough to support my very flat feet. I have also tested these on several runs now and they're a gift from the shoe gods. I highly recommend trying them out, especially if you ever feel like you're running on concrete when you wear shoes. These hit every mark for me.

As you get a bit older (in my case, late 20s), you once again realize you have no time for unsupportive shoes and basic Nikes you wore in your younger years. Comfort is supreme. And if the shoe also happens to look good - that's a plus! I got both of those features in this shoe. I have only worn one pair of New Balances before and it was not a good-looking shoe to say the least - which deterred me from wanting to wear it at all. Happy to say, that's not at all a problem here. I love the sleek yet simple design. In terms of comfort - there is ample cushioning. The shoe is flexible - it moves with you. Despite that, it isn't mushy. It is soft and responsive to your needs. I don't find the midfoot lockdown loose. I love how the outsole is firm and well suited for all ... My fussy feet have been looking for years for the just right running shoes, for walking and jogging the dog on light hikes and around town. No pain or pressure on my instep or around the tongue (my sensitive spot). Right away after trying 3 shoes that look more like the traditional "tennis shoes" from way back when, I knew I would have "happy feet" with this pair. I think it's because the heel is raised above my toes enough to relax my back and feel energized. I learned to stay away from "zero drop" which bothers my back and legs. Cushioned but not too much. The REI employee made sure I didn't choose a zero drop. Hopefully with more wear I will continue to feel the same way. I am ordering another pair in a different color!

I am honestly impressed with these shoes. I needed something with decent grip that I could use for a treadmill or for outdoor running. These shoes have done just that. I barely had to break them in! They have the right amount of support for a foot like mine. My feet are kind of narrow and I'm also very picky about arches. These haven't bothered me at all on long outings. Plus they're pretty light for the amount of padding. My favorite part is how well the ankle is supported in these shoes. Would buy again!
This is a good shoe for narrow feet, my second pair, but be aware, as narrow feet normally equal high arches. In a regular shoe I wear a 7.5 AAA with a 5A heel. I ordered an 8N(narrow) Very high arch, as center of foot NEVER touches the floor, even on the outside of the foot. It took me a while to break these in, as the stitching near the laces pressed against the beginning top of my foot due to the arch rise. It eventually became less uncomfortable...and maybe my first pair was a one off. It has good cushion and is my first foam shoe. I am a heavy striker, hitting hard on my heel, so this cushioning is helpful. Normally I jog about 20 miles a week. The narrow design is helpful both in the width and especially in the heel. Few shoes satisfy my needs, and this one does.
After a few runs in my New Balance Fresh Foam X 880v13 it was very clear these were SO much better than the UA running shoes I had been wearing and every other running shoe I have personally purchased.The shoes are very cushioned, it's kinda springy feeling and it definitely made running on pavement SO much more comfortable for my feet and my knees. The shoes feel like they are form fitted to your feet, cradling all the places you'd want support from your shoe. They are light and breathable. Great for walks and runs. And since i read that New Balance is podiatrist approved, I will for sure be buying another pair of these when I wear the current ones out!I received this product for free in return for an honest review. These shoes are so comfortable for all activities. The soles are super squishy and you feel like you're walking on a cloud. I love wearing them to work as well as for my causal workouts. They're also really stylish too. Unlike most shoes that are this comfortable these still look good to wear with simi professional work attire. They're great for around the office, going for a walk or run on any surface, and for workouts. I would recommend these shoes to everyone. The length fits perfect for my true size but I did have to loosen the laces as they felt snug at first. But once I've loosened them they fit perfect.
