Maybe it's me but the 990v3 is the best version of the 990 ever. It is firm with just the right amount of cushion. The foot bed isn't too narrow or wide. I've bought later versions and they felt wrong or off kilter. So I am very glad I went back to the 990v3. I had to buy the men's 7.5 because the women's 9 didn't come in black. Frankly, I may buy the men's 7.5 again since it feels amazing. My dalliance with Brooks and Nike again ... over. Back to the 990v3 forever. Don't stop making this one!!!

The 990v3 has easily become my favorite sneaker. The design is perfect and the comfort is amazing, like walking on a cloud. The Teddy Santis colorways are what really caught my attention; Marblehead/Incense, Sea Salt/Rain Cloud, Moonbeam/Macadamia Nut and recently, from the S2 Collection, Grey/Blue. I just placed an order for a pair in the classic Grey/White as well. My shoe size is an 11.5 (US) XX-Wide, and although the 990v3 are only available in a Standard, I ordered them regardless because I liked the look of them so much, I figured I'll just commit to breaking them in. Great for everyday wear and long walks! Super comfy! I did learn from the Pedorthic specialist at the shoe store, I needed a half size larger in this shoe. Just because you are used to buying a certain size does not mean you wear the same size in every shoe! I purchased an 8.5 instead of and 8 and what a huge difference! It is important that the widest part of your foot land where the widest part of the shoe is and that your arch lands on the arch of the shoe. not too far forward or too far back! If you haven't had your feet measured by a professional, by all means do so. The ""better"" shoe stores usually have someone trained to do this. It makes a big difference! Premium pig skin suede and stable encap foam makes it hard to not fall in love with the shoes. The colorway may be confusing but in my opinion it looks like a dark olive grey tone of suede in the "grey/blue" tone. Do go a half size down for a true fit. I wear a 10 for js, and a 10 for sambas and they fit true to size but for this shoe I recommend going half a size down (9.5). I also have a very narrow foot and they fit well on the sides . I prefer a snug fit on shoes and these will fit more better for those with normal and wider foot shapes but it doesn't mean they don't fit narrow feet just I prefer a snugger feel on all my shoes I wear. Length wise it's perfect my toes barely touch the toe upper in a comfortable way. The 990v3's are aesthetically beautiful and seem to be very well constructed- nice job New Balance!! I would say; however, to be careful about the sizing. In an imported 574 I wear a 9.5, and went down a half size on these, but I'm thinking that I really should have gone a full size down to an 8.5, as they seem a little roomy. Again, it's a quality shoe with a straight last- great for an overpronator like me. I wear a ""D"" in a dress shoe and despite other reviews I've read these are a true medium width. Plenty of room in the heel too! I love 990v3's and have had many pairs in the past. The new MiUSA core offering is particularly attractive and well made. They fit to size, are comfortable, and last for a long time especially as a lifestyle shoe. At my age, running is no longer an option so I wear these and all my 990's for casual wear, for walking, and for light exercise. If you haven't tried a pair of these Classics yet, you should. I think you will be impressed.
New Balance is comfortable, so I took this opportunity to buy it from Finish Line. They shipped right after confirming the order, so I was able to receive the product in a short time. The product was also very good because it came without any problems with double packaging.Currently, it is out of stock on the official New Balance website, so I decided to buy something else.
