Maybe it's me but the 990v3 is the best version of the 990 ever. It is firm with just the right amount of cushion. The foot bed isn't too narrow or wide. I've bought later versions and they felt wrong or off kilter. So I am very glad I went back to the 990v3. I had to buy the men's 7.5 because the women's 9 didn't come in black. Frankly, I may buy the men's 7.5 again since it feels amazing. My dalliance with Brooks and Nike again ... over. Back to the 990v3 forever. Don't stop making this one!!!

These are my 3rd MiU in a month!! My friends ask why i buy the same style.In term of color way, grey, 990v2 , 990v3 and 993 i own. I love to go for grey color way and become my style!!990v3 is more fit than 993 but still comfy. I stick on 27.5 cm size in every model and perfect fit for me!!990v3 is in the middle, 990v2 is more slender and 993 is more chunky. All of them are so stylish and that why Teddy creates in various color way!!

I use these for walking and running. Planning on making these my beater shoes. They are not initially as cushioned or comfortable as boost technology shoes such as the ultra boosts but the 990v3 has a denser midsole. Don't get me wrong: they feel amazing on feet and at the end of a long day of walking, my feet are pain free due to the solid support compared to a day with my ultra boosts. I also love the chunky profile of the shoes as I can fashion them into an outfit. From being worn by dads on dmv floors to worn by models on photo shoots, these shoes are extremely versatile and I'm glad New balance is further solidifying its place in the fashion zeitgeist while staying true to its roots.

Great for everyday wear and long walks! Super comfy! I did learn from the Pedorthic specialist at the shoe store, I needed a half size larger in this shoe. Just because you are used to buying a certain size does not mean you wear the same size in every shoe! I purchased an 8.5 instead of and 8 and what a huge difference! It is important that the widest part of your foot land where the widest part of the shoe is and that your arch lands on the arch of the shoe. not too far forward or too far back! If you haven't had your feet measured by a professional, by all means do so. The "better" shoe stores usually have someone trained to do this. It makes a big difference! The 990v3's are aesthetically beautiful and seem to be very well constructed- nice job New Balance!! I would say; however, to be careful about the sizing. This is my 5th pair of New Balance and 2nd Made in US. Quality is amazing, suede is super high quality, no loose stitches and the fit is great. I normally wear a 12 in Made in UK as well as my 992. The 992, is slightly long and so are these. But I wouldn't say these run large because the insole in these is the same length as my Made in UK Size 12s and those fit more snug. So they definitely fit true to size but the upper is more generous. I could have gone down to an 11.5 but they're still super comfortable, if a little bit big, but definitely not a deal breaker at all. Under foot cushion it's plentiful, a bit softer than the 992, but slightly firmer than the 990v5. Overall a fantastic shoe and hard not to recommend.
I love 990v3's and have had many pairs in the past. The new MiUSA core offering is particularly attractive and well made. They fit to size, are comfortable, and last for a long time especially as a lifestyle shoe. At my age, running is no longer an option so I wear these and all my 990's for casual wear, for walking, and for light exercise. If you haven't tried a pair of these Classics yet, you should. I think you will be impressed.
I've bought this shoe or a very similar model three times now since 2012. I principally stick with New Balance because I strongly support "Made in USA" products, but they also really do deliver in terms of quality. For starters, the pair that these replaced lasted me more than seven years with heavy use as runners / workout shoes, so I got more than my money's worth out of them. (I have another nine-year-old daily-use pair that is close to replacement age, too.) More importantly, they are a perfect fit for my somewhat wide / broad feet. Other brands tend to be too narrow if they are the right length, or too long if they are the right width.I love my New Balance shoes and I will keep buying them whenever my old pair wears out!
