I purchased the big kids 990v6 shoe in burgundy. I wasn’t sure about the sizing since I normally wear a women’s 8, and if I ordered the same color in the adults unisex, I couldn’t return the shoe. Talking to the NB rep, I was assured the big kids size 6.5 would be my equivalent size. Upon receiving the shoes, they were too wide! The overall big kids shoes appeared to look like the adult version, I did notice the toe box wasn’t as stream lined as the adult version. It skirted out a little.

I LOVE this shoe! Love love love! I feel so cool wearing them. I give 4 over 5 starts solely because I had to return my normal size of women’s 10 to get a women’s 9.5 and as I wear them more, I think I could have gotten a women’s 9, which would be a whole size under what I normally wear.

Perfect fit and the Burgundy looks great. I love the fact the used same nice laces from the 993’s on these. The white laces are nice but the color coordinated Burgundy laces give the shoes a great look. I have. 7!0Pairs of the 9
This show is excellent for my son who has special needs and requires an extra wide shoe. He’s been wearing New Balance for years and we are always happy with the fit and quality.
Would have loved to purchase these, but larger 990 sizes are always sold out! Please make more larger sizes. If the size/style sells out, it means we want the product and we want New Balance to make more.
I've been a wearer of NB 990s since the mid-80s, and they are my go to running shoe.I enjoy the new color combinations and revised fuel cell to the bottom/heel of the shoe.
These shoes look great. Unfortunately the sizing can be a bit wonky. I sized down based on some reviews about the shoe being longer than others by NB--which is true--but doing so did cause some pressure to the side of my big toe. Unfortunately, I didn't have the option to exchange it on NB's website and the sale expired so I had to return.
I’ve struggled to find shoes that fit great and are comfortable! Most common shoes make my feet and toes hurt horribly. We went to the NB store and I tried these on in the pink/grey color and loved them and purchased those. Fast forward a couple of months and I’m still loving this style of shoe so I bought my second pair in the cream/ black colors and my gosh seriously my feet are so comfortable. I can wear them all day long without any problems, and not saying I won’t buy any other shoes, but these are my go to for sure.
Not red enough, needs to be very red. I've been waiting for years for a 990v shoe that is the right shade of red. Please NewBalance Product Managers, please hear my prayer and make a classic, rich, scarlet red for the 990 series shoes. They are the most comfortable, versatile, and durable New Balance sneakers I've ever owned. I just need more red options. Thank you for your attention to this very important matter.
