On a whim visited the NB site and luckily there was one pair left in a 9.5. If you wear 9.5 in 990s you can half size up comfortably as these are tighter around the toe box but manageable. Awesome shoe and worthy of the cost.

Phenomenal colorway for a GC shoe and a great shoe model that brought a classic design and modern tech together with the addition of fuelcell. The materials used are top notch and have a buttery smooth texture and appearance. Only disappointment came from frayed stitching in several places along the shoe, including the lateral and medial N logos along with the 991 branding on both shoes. Understanding that these are handmade in the UK and there are certain premiums taken into account for the pricing, one would still hope the expectations for the QC would be higher - especially on what seems to be a very limited GR release that has the potential to contend for sneaker of the year.
First off, the quality and craftsmanship is great. The price seems off-putting at first, but just know you are getting a shoe that will last years if taken care of. As a wide footer, I've heard that going true to size would be a no go, but by the time I got to the website, every other size was sold out except for mine, so I just ordered and prayed that they would fit. I work a labor intensive job, and after 4 (moderately painful)work days, they finally broke in! The cushion wasn't exactly noticeable at first, until I realized that at the end of my shift, my feet felt alot less painful to stand on than with my other shoes, the stability is just what I need for my job. First pair of V2’s. Happy I made the purchase. It will not be my last. Fuel cell makes a huge difference in comfort on these.
Shoe looks good but quality control is an issue, it had multiple loose threads and glue everywhere. For $250 per shoe I expected QA to be better.
The shoes are beautiful. They’re true to size and feel very comfortable to wear. One star less because the color of the actual shoes is lighter than the pictures.
Ordered these at 7am and at noon I received an email saying my order was cancelled due to item out of stock. Within those 5 hours the shoe sold out on other websites. Very disappointing that NB would let an order go through even know the product was out of stock. Even more, it took 5 hours to contact me so I was unable to secure the shoe at another site before selling out. Was really looking forward to purchasing this style and colorway. What a disappointment!
Luxe materials, dope colorway, absolutely fire street appeal. Can’t wait to rock these over the summer!
