Coming from an older basketball shoe that fit my wider foot, having a wide option is absolute critical to my ability to actually fit the shoe. This shoes wide option fits well, even though I measure as 4E and this only goes to 2E.Another thing that is very impressive, is that the shoes' engineering makes one feel bouncy. Looking for something new and different. They fit the bill perfect. I’m a dad looking for shoes for my boys who play high school and middle school basketball. We were looking for something that not everyone else has. At least not yet. My buys were skeptical at first but loved them from the moment they arrived in the mail. Thanks!!

The reason why I give it a 4/5 rating is because I haven't tried it out on the court yet, but I have worn it and it fits nicely and feels comfortable. I'm a wide and I love that New Balance has wide basketball shoes. I will most likely purchase another pair of basketball shoes in the future from NB mainly for that reason. I am excited to try it out on the court!

Lighter but with downside of lesser build quality. I’ve owned the v3 and v4 and looked forward to these but after a test run I’ve decided to go to the v4s. The v5 just doesn’t feel at supportive around the ankle. The uppers are breath better but it seems the height is slightly lower than the v4. FWIW I play about 6 hours a week on an indoor court.
I think the v5 is better than the v4. The step-in comfort was acceptable. I'm happy to see good colorways come out at launch(an all-black and an all-white thank you). The tech and materials are good. Despite the v5 probably having better tech than the v3 I like the v3 better. The v5 feels like it gives less ankle mobility than the v3. The v3 has a wider toe box, better outsole shape, and better court feel. These missing qualities are a deal breaker for me. I will be returning. Purchased for my son. His size is a 10.5. We ordered a 10.5 first but they were a little tight. So we reordered the 10.5 wide and these were perfect. The return process was easy and very quick as far as getting our money back. Shoes themselves are comfortable and feel good on the court. He ordered the pink ones. He liked the color even better in person.
Bought these for pick-up basketball. Have played probably about 10 hours in them so far. So far it's a great shoe! Fits true to size, cushioning is great. Takes a while to break in, particularly in the upper section around the tongue, which is stiff and pinches a bit. I tried on many shoes from different brands and I felt that this was the most no-nonsense shoe. I'll review again after 6 months.
Very comfortable. Wide enough toe box so that after a day of being on my feet, they don't squeeze. I highly recommend this shoe. I wear them with my nursing uniform. Many of my colleagues want a pair as well. Comfortable fit. True to size. Great support.
Amazing shoes, one of the most perfect fits for me (D). Traction amazing. Very comfortable. I love the look and most Colorways.Laces could be better though, thicker more sturdy material. Because it’s a slippery material and thin, tying laces can be slightly annoying. However positive is that they stay tied pretty well due to thin material and type of material.9/10. It lost 1 because of laces.
While the shoe is comfortable and wide as described, in less than a month, the fabric along the shoe collar is coming off. Note that these shoes have only been worn for "three" middle school basketball games. The return policy for returns/exchanges is inconvenient. The nearest store is 150 miles away to complete an exchange. The company does not provide an option for exchange online. Instead, you have to order a new pair and be out another $120+, then wait up to 14 days for your money to be refunded for the defective item. And, if you don't sign up for an account you're out another $5 for a restocking fee for your return.
