I love these shoes. I wear them to class and work sometimes. They have good grip and stability so I can play basketball and pickleball in them. The thing I noticed as soon as i got them out of the box was that their construction is sloppy. Paint bleeds past intended lines, exposed glue etc. The white "leather" is very fake in look and feel. These things cant be seen from most people's perspective but they are disappointing nonetheless
The color way is perfect for the fall and feel in love with it immediately. These are my first 550 but I went True to Size and they fit perfectly. I can see that if I went a half size down they would be tighter so do with that what you will.Overall the fit of the shoe and the colors are perfect. You get the retro but not the pain. The one big disappointment about these shoes is the fact the paint is already stripping away after wearing them 1 time. You can see the photos below.Maybe it's just my pair but I really wish the paint was better on these so order at your own risks.
Decent traction for court play. Shoe length is OK. Upper material is super stiff; it took several hours of use to break in. Not like modern mesh materials. Toe box is much narrower than normal sport shoes. If you’re on the border between standard and wide, this is one style to definitely get the wide size if available.
I love these shoes. Super comfortable and look great. I can wear them all day. These are my first new balance shoes and they are so good I also purchased the black lol. I love the outer materials they feel super strong. They will outlast me! Excellent shoe.
17 year old son LOVES his new "dad shoes" as he puts it! He says they're super comfy and literally asks me every day for the past couple weeks if I like them too. They match mostly all his clothes. He's trying to get me to buy a pair for myself. I will buy another pair for him.
These shoes have been getting super popular so I wasn't sure if I wanted to get them, however, so glad that I did. They're extremely comfortable and did not need any breaking in. I heard that they tend to run on the bigger side, but I found that my usual size fit true to size. I can tell the they'll last me a long time.
Am I the only one that has the most painful experience with these shoes? They are SO CUTE but when walking the leather is so hard that the creasing caused by walking pushes down really hard on my big toe and IT HURTS so much. I have a bruise on both big toes now, i am trying to push through the pain because hopefully they get less painful.... but i will hesitate buying a new pair
