Comfy but concerning

I wear them a few times a week, walk on avg 10,000 steps a day, and alternate between different shoes. I usually get about 6 months out of any one pair of nb shoes when alternating. So far they are super comfy and doing the job of light, breathable, fast moving shoes that keep up with my busy day. The only downfall is a small 10mm separation of the outermost sole along the edge of the shoe. Hopefully it doesnt spread. Rather concerning given the low mileage so far, but otherwise they are great.

This shoe was fine except for one thing. The right shoe at the very top of the back (against the achilles tendon) was too tight. The left shoe fit just fine. I wore it for one afternoon and it rubbed all the skin off a spot that took a week to heal. It is so bad that I cannot possibly wear these shoes. I'm going to donate them to a thrift store in the hope that someone might be able to wear them. I've never had an experience like this with New Balance.

Good Shoe, Runs Small

My perfect size is Brooks 10.5, 4E.I gave these New Balances a shot because they were good price and had better 4E selection.Unfortunately 4E runs small compared to what I'm used to. The 10.5 was super tight on front toe, I think I would have had to go up to 11 for snug or 11.5 for comfortable. Unfortunately those sizes were out of stock. Otherwise I think this was a decent shoe. Compared to the $120-150 trail running shoes it had smaller sole and was lighter weight, but still had good build.

Great fitting and lite.
16 November 2022

This the first pair of shoes I didn't need to put an insert in. My first pair of New Balance shoes were the commercial no slip shoes, but the soles fill up with snow and then melt water all over the floor. The news shoes don't do that, but are not as good on the ice. Last year I had an old pair of shoes with bad tread and I slipped and fell on the ice hard. I dislocated my right hip and could hardly walk. It took me an hour and a half to walk 200 feet to get into my place. I haven't slipped and fallen on these shoes yet.

Nice shoes but to small, buy bigger
13 March 2023

Hi, thank you for asking about my recent purchase. When I received them I immediately put them on and took off for a nice long walk with my dog. I was sure they would fit as I have been buying shoes from you for a while, this being my fourth pair. Unfortunately these run smaller then the fresh foam ones I've bought in the past and irritate my toes as they rub up against the front of the toe box. I can't wear them and didn't feel I could as I've walked in the street with them and scuffed the bottoms. I assumed your shoes would run true to size and am very disappointed with these, as they are to small. They are otherwise a nice looking pair of shoes, I wish they would have fit

Nice walking shoes
12 March 2023

Nice walking shoes, and my day to day wear, go anywhere shoes. Pretty comfortable, but like all new shoes I need to break them in. I like the lightweight feel of them; and I like that I could get them in my size, but with extra wide size, so I have room in the toe area. At 69 years, and heavier weight, my feet have flattened a bit. The extra width gives more room for my orthotic inserts to lift my arch. I've owned New Balance shoes for many years. These are made in USA, and they tend to fit my feet well, unlike many import shoes that are always too narrow and pinch my feet.

Prefer Minimalist Shoe But This Is Good
26 December 2022

Husband says he prefers thin flat firm soles. These shoe soles are a little thicker and softer than he likes but at least they are flat enough and wide enough to be comfortable. He normally wears a size 8 and purchased a size 8.5 to have enough room since he has very wide feet. He liked that there wasn’t anything pushing on his arches and heels which usually makes it difficult to buy shoes. So if you have the same issue, these might work for you.

Returned, fit was WAY off---by at least a full size
5 December 2022

I have been wearing New Balance for at least 10 years, probably 15 pairs, and have always bought the exact same size---13D (except for my golf shoes, which are 13E). I bought these DynaSoft Nitrel V5, and loved the way they looked when I got them. When I went to try them on, I couldn't even get my foot into the shoe---it was that tight. I thought they sent me the wrong size, but checked the box, and inside the shoe---they were 13D. No possible way I could wear these. I returned them, and was going to order a size 14 because I liked the look of the shoe so much, but they were sold out. Pretty odd that the size on these could be that far off.

Run Small
17 August 2022

I have never bought shoe in a size bigger than 12 in my whole life of 60 years. These shoes are not size 12, They say 12 but these are maybe 11-11.5. My feet are not exactly the same size, my right foot is a little longer than the left. There is a big difference between these two shoes. The left is much bigger than the right. I will have to order a 12.5 in this particular shoe. My right big toe is all the way to the end of the toe box. Dang, I hope it's not just an anomaly. I am exchanging for a size 12.5. I hope the aren't too big. I am going to get another pair of size 12 and see the difference.

Runs Small Might Cause Severe Foot Pain
22 February 2023

I purchased a pair. They felt great at the store trying them on. Wore them one day at work and quickly found out I got them a size and half too small. I usually wear a 10.5 in most shoes. The discomfort from wearing a pair of shoes that are too small is unbelievable. Went back in and tried an 11. Still too small. Exchanged them for 11.5. I've been wearing them for a several days and the pain in my big toe and the ball of my foot is unbelievable. They still feel a little too small. But the store only had 11.5 as the largest size. Needless to say, these shoes run a bit small. I think the reason they still hurt is due to the toe protect. What I do like about them is the way they grip the heel firmly and they are very light weight. The shoestrings stay tied most of the time. I've only had to stop and re-tie them once. On the foot that doesn't hurt they feel great. I suggest if you purchase them, making sure they are the right size. You may have to go up higher than usual. I do have wiggle room in the door that hurts. I'm probably going to to exchange them for s different kind. The pain is just too much.
