So far a great shoe for easy, slower runs. Feels harder to go quickly, not nearly as bouncy as New Balance's fuel cell shoes, so maybe not ideal for speedier sessions. Definitely fits bigger than other New Balance shoes - went down an entire size and it fit. If you have a wider foot, normal width may still work for you, especially because the upper is so stretchy and forgiving. The upper may not last long, but it's too early to say for sure.

I decided to try a brand I hadnt purchased in a few years, so I picked up a pair of these NB Fresh Foam 1080v12 sneaks several months ago. I am constantly rotating and buying new sneakers for workouts, training, running, classes and recreation. The Fresh foam 1080 are lightweight, provide nice cushioning, arch support, stability and are overall an excellent purchase. So much so that I just bought another pair! I am currently reaching for these the most because they feel & fit l amazing -- perfect amount of cushion and support. I am typically a 9.5 M in 95% of shoes and sneakers (with the exception of Adidas and Hoka where I have to sometimes size down to a 9 due to my somewhat narrow foot). These fit TTS. If you are in bw sizes, I *might* size up, but in general these do run TTS. Additional feedback -- five friends in running group purchased after me. All said TTS and love as much as I do!! Highly recommend. Perfection!!

This shoe is a life changer for me! I am diabetic and have tried many styles and brands without success. After a few hours I would have intense arch pain and/or blisters on my toes. I love the wide toe box and great arch support plus footbed cushioning in the New Balance 1080v12. On a recent trip to Disneyland, 60,000+ steps over 3 days and my feet are great! My daily walks are so much more comfortable too. So much so I now have 3 pairs!

After another brand I had been loyal to for years made one too many changes to the style I kept re-purchasing, I decided it was time for a change. I chose the New Balance Fresh Foam x 1080v12's at the recommendation of a friend. After two runs, I'm finding the New Balances very comfortable and they also seem to provide quite a bit more stability than I'm used to. This makes them feel a bit less "cushy" than what I'm used to, but I do feel like they absorb shock well. I would classify them as a bit more firm- feeling. I used the same orthotics in my old and new shoes so they could be evenly compared. I believe I am going to get used to the firmer feel. I like the bigger toe box. I find them true to size and didn't size up or down. I would recommend them!
New Balance has been my favorite brand of running shoe because they come in narrow sizes- (2A for women). The New Balance Fresh Foam 1080v10 was my favorite model ever because of the soft cushion & breathability. Great for long runs!Sadly, New Balance only produces 1080v12 in B width for women. I can't slide around in a shoe that's too wide for my narrow foot as it produces blisters, calluses and corns. I will keep my current pairs going with shoe goo and hope that New Balance brings back a neutral fresh foam in narrow women's sizes and that RRS carries them. I would recommend this shoe to my friends with B width feet, but it is no longer an option for me.
I'm so happy with the New Balance 1080v12! I first was fitted in store by a very patient and helpful sales associate. I'm not a runner; just an older diabetic woman who needed good shoes. This style has good footbed cushion, good arch support, and a wide toe box. The first pair proved so comfortable, I have since bought 2 more in different colors! I wore for 2 days at Disney, over 20,000 steps without foot fatigue or blisters.
These are super plush and I love how they feel. The fresh foam will probably be a favourite for me from here on out. The heel on this is apparently new and I like it. It feels supportive and adds cushion where I didn’t realize I needed it. I sized down based on the reviews by men and women. Many reviewers mentioned these were long and wider and to size down. Foot length wise, I’m glad I did. Width wise, I thought I wouldn’t need a wide given other reviews, but I guess I did. They’re a bit more narrow than I had hoped sized down, but I still like them. I ran a 10k race in them just about out of the box and had 0 issues other than realizing i needed them to be a smidge wider. I would really recommend these if you’re looking for a plush and bouncy ride. TLDR: If you’re ... MoreThese are super plush and I love how they feel. I am a NB loyalist and love their shoes for marathon training and racing. I ordered the 1080v12 in the size I have always worn in NB and prior versions of the 1080. They run at least a half size big. Still amazing shoes once you get the right size! Definitely order a half size down from your regular NB size. Other than that no complaints, still the great comfort and quality I have come to expect from NB shoes over the years.
I do love the comfort and fit of these shoes. If I were just looking for a great pair to keep my feet happy all day, these would be the ones. So if you are not a runner, buy these shoes and you will be so happy. However, as running shoes, they just don't hold up. New Balance put the same low mileage soles on this version as the 11. After 30 miles, the soles are literally shredded. I will be returning them thanks to the Road Runner guarantee, and I'll have to move on to a different shoe brand that gives me more miles.
I’m a healthcare workers and was looking for some new shoes to support my feet. I’ve worn mostly adidas ultraboost and have liked those a lot, but thought I would switch it up. I tried on these new balances in the store and thought they were comfortable and light weight. Ended up wearing them to work the next and they KILLED my feet. I actually had to go to the chiropractor because I could barely walk the next day without being in a lot of pain. I thought it was a fluke thing and maybe they just needed to be broken in. I’ve committed to wearing these for a few weeks since I spent so much on them and every day my feet hurt. I actually have to take them off at my desk because they hurt just being on. I’ve loosened laces and everything and nothing helps. Unfortunately these $150 are going straight in the trash.
