I Destroyed my half marathon PR during an Ironman 70.3 (also 10k PR). These shoes are comfortable and efficient. I wish they made more of the purple because I love them. These are by far better than my TCs. I returned my alpha flys. This is my race shoe from now until v3.

This combines comfort with speed performance. The carbon plate doesn't feel too stiff and the midsole doesn't feel unstable yet you get the snappy pop and super soft cushion. Fast enough for speed workouts or short races but comfortable enough for long distances.

I bought these for a recent half marathon and they worked out great! The course began partially up a canyon, so the race was net downhill--the Fuel Cell foam definitely saved my legs on that descent. And, when the race flattened out, I really felt the benefit of the plate as I pushed through to the finish. It may not have the snap of a Vaporfly, but it's much more versatile, so much so that I use it as a trainer for my long runs. Great shoe.

I love these shoes, I mainly use them for 10km races and tempo runs, the carbon plate provides good propulsion and the sole is soft with great cushioning for a carbon plate shoe. Not really suited for slow jogging pace, but great at a fast pace. The shoe locks down well in the mid foot, I normally wear a 11 to 11.5 2E shoe but as these shoes only come in D (like most race/carbon shoes) I wear a 12 and they fit well.I am a bigger runner 190cm/95kg in my late 40's and find the cushioning is great compared to some other carbon shoes I have used. The shoe wear has been very good to date (after approximately 100km).Definitely recommend these shoes for someone who wants to get a bit more out of their runs and improve their PB's.
I've been training in the New Balance 1080 and Rebel V2s, both excellent shoes, so I was a fan of New Balance to begin with. When I ran my first marathon ever this year I was looking for a very comfortable and forgiving race-day shoe that still had some pop. I was on the fence between this and the Vaporfly or Alphafly but after reading many reviews, this felt like the best option in terms of protecting my knees and joints. The shoes performed like a charm! They are incredibly comfortable and fast and easy to transition between paces effortlessly. This is my first experience with a carbon-plated "super shoe" so I can't really compare it to the Nike offerings or the Metaspeed Sky but I can say confidently that these are the best running shoes I have ever owned so far. ... Absolutely worth checking out!
For a Carbon plated shoe it is extremely soft and forgiving on your feet. The softness does make the shoe feel a little unstable, but as someone who wears stability shoes as an everyday trainer it didn't bother me much. The super responsive foam is everything you would expect/want it to be so its definitely plenty fast, but for me I feel its best used as a 10k and up racer, I just think a firmer feeling shoe would be faster at 5k or less.
I loved the feel of these shoes. I wanted so badly to be able to use these often, but just could not get a good heel lockdown. I tried several different lacing techniques, but none work for me. Unfortunately, I had to return them. I was bummed because I loved they way they felt when I ran in them.
Was using Beacon v2/v3 for a long time actually ran a few halves and 3 full Marathons in them as well as 2 Ironman Full events. The Beacon is awesome, Started running in Elite v2 about 3 weeks ago and I can tell you this these are the bomb. So far, have done a half as well as multiple shorter runs and these shoes will definitely be seeing my next few marathons and next scheduled IM event... Awesome shoe..... WOW!NB any plans for some new colors?
I replaced my Vaporfly 4% shoes with the RC Elite V1. The big difference for me is that I can use my favorite NB insoles with the RC Elite, whereas the Vaporfly has glued-in standard insoles with insufficient arch support. I can't wait to try the RC Elite V2, but not in pink! I'll wait for something more neutral like my white V1's. Buy 1/2 size up to make room for the insoles.
Truly incredible shoes. Sharp looking, light and genuinely make for a faster run. Added bonus: sized wide enough to accommodate a wider foot. A transformative shoe that I'd give 10 stars if possible.Sizing note: go up a half size
