This combines comfort with speed performance. The carbon plate doesn't feel too stiff and the midsole doesn't feel unstable yet you get the snappy pop and super soft cushion. Fast enough for speed workouts or short races but comfortable enough for long distances.

Very comfortable for those long runs. I've run in comparable shoes from other brands and I prefer these because the footbed feels more like a daily runner (my daily is a 1080v12) but is very light and responsive. I'm a classic new balance fan and I love the 574 references in the design. These are my go-to long-run and marathon shoes.

I do my long runs in these shoes. Really comfortable and bouncy. I have a wide foot and feel ok with the toe box because the material stretches enough. My one complaint is the tongue will not stay in place and isn't wide enough 🤬 Happy running!!

I’ve only done a small break in run so far. They will be tested in a couple of weeks in a half marathon but first impressions are a huge speed and comfort bump. A little awkward transitioning from my 860 training shoes. Takes a little getting used too but the results were great.
I replaced my Vaporfly 4% shoes with the RC Elite V1. The big difference for me is that I can use my favorite NB insoles with the RC Elite, whereas the Vaporfly has glued-in standard insoles with insufficient arch support. I can't wait to try the RC Elite V2, but not in pink! I'll wait for something more neutral like my white V1's. Buy 1/2 size up to make room for the insoles.
I have been an adidas ultra-boost type of person for years. I thought these shoes provided the greatest lifestyle comfort for day to day functions. This is my first pair of Fuel Cell's and was truly impressed by the level of comfort that has surpassed my ultra-boost, very stylish and lightweight great for everyday use. New Balance you gained a new customer because I love ❤️ the craftsmanship of these shoes.
It's a very good carbon plated race shoe. Fit is true to size. Very high stack height worked fine for me and I could definitely feel a propulsion from the carbon plate. The ride was great. Soft and bouncy. For me, not as good as the Vaporfly nor Metaspeed Sky but that's just a personal preference. I would have liked it if they kept the same outsole as the original but having said that, the outsole works well. Weight-wise it is slightly heavier than the original. It is a very good shoe but just slightly over priced for what you get.
I am training for my 5th marathon, 61 years old, not looking to break any speed records but just trying to continue a sport I love as long as possible. These shoes are the first I've ever bought without trying them on, because I couldn't get them without ordering online and taking my chances. I'm glad I did. They fit perfectly, I didn't have to go up a half size like some others have reported. Solid support (best ever) and nice breathable fit both upper and in the toe and heel areas where some shoes tend to pinch after a few miles. The biggest thing is how they provide continued support throughout a long run. I have a race in 5 weeks and did an 18 mile run last Saturday. The technology seems to provide a slight boost in speed, in my case not much (maybe 10 seconds per mile), but because my legs don't get nearly as tired I am able to maintain my pace much, much longer. I bought a second pair after two runs in the first pair, and will be looking for a third shortly. I only have about 100 miles on the first pair so I can't comment on durability, but so far no problems.
I am usually a 10.5 in the 550 and 990's. Had to go 1/2 size up from what I normally would order. I am not and runner and am using these as a lifestyle shoe. Unlike a lot of the other brands running shoes that you would only wear when working out, these look great and the color way goes with pretty much anything. These shoes out of the box were super comfortable. I have worn them all day in the office and on the weekends when we are walking around all day. These feel like two pillows under my feet. I truly look forward to putting these on my feet. That is the sign of a great shoe.
Super comfortable. The cushioning is insane and the carbon fiber plate really helps with stability. Nice and lightweight too. Got a few runs in this week with them and I'm really happy with them. Love a good collaboration like this.
