Traction is excellent, cushion is great and feels very responsive. I’m very active when I play basketball, so I need a shoe that allows me to run, jump and land. Only minor issue is they feel slightly loose at the top - gotta make sure to unlace and then lace them back up tight. I ordered 2E (which NB needs to start stocking more of) so maybe it’s different with regular width. Also, 2E fits perfect for me so I imagine the regular width shoes are too narrow, just like the insanely narrow Two Wxy v4.The other issue doesn’t affect performance, but it’s absurd that New Balance debuted these three atrocious color ways. Super responsive, very comfortable, great cushioning. Looks super clean. Only minor flaw is that the laces are pretty short. Hope the all black colorway will drop soon.

Bought both the regular and wide width pairs. Wide option was a better fit than the regular width. Strangely the insoles for the wide pair were slightly narrower than the regular width insoles. Cushioning was excellent. The traction was great. Slight heel slippage but just wore thick socks and tied laces tighter. Overall a great hoop shoe. Wish they had better color options.
I saw a video of a pro skater skateboarding in these and used AI to search what they were. I bought them just because of how they look. They have a lot of cushion. Can wear them all day long. The midsole is painted red and looks slightly faded brand new out of the box, but even with that I still give them 5 stars.
Good quality shoes. It was tight fit for me TTS, especially the mid section. Toe box has plenty of space. I returned it and hope to find a 2e version. Lockdown around the ankle was perfect. No heel slippage whatsoever.
I’ve always bought New Balance sports shoes for myself and boys, because they’ve always had a wider toe box….running shoes, football cleats, baseball cleats. The first two Kawhi followed that trusted NB pattern for fit. I returned Kawhi 3 because they were too narrow and was hoping Kawhi 5 got back on track with what New Balance shoes/sizing are known for, ie wider toe box, but not the case. Kawhi 5 fit narrow/tight…disappointing because wide sizes are all out of stock….guess I didn’t get the memo!
The best basketball shoe, defined by comfort, style and agility. I wanted them to bring back the omnis, but the Kawhi 3’s, then the 4’s are even better. I would appreciate some more color ways. And, a rewards discount card!
The shoe is well made, and it's looks are very appealing. The length was absolutely perfect following the sizing chart expect the width. I had to return them because no matter how far I unlaced them (even with 2E) i couldn't fit them comfortably.
Last year at this time, my son had a different pair of new shoes. I'm not going to say what kind cough cough curry's. He was slipping all over the place and had to adjust his playing (lost alot of speed) to take into account for the sliding. Even with sticking spray still couldn't get a clean stop. With these shoes he had a huge improvement and his speed was noticeable back.The shoes can take his velocity and make a dead stop.
