Arrived on time. One of the shoe lace holes (on the right foot shoe ) was missing so I punched it by a screwdriver (NB has no QA dept. I guess?!?!?!). One of the show laces had threads coming out of it. !!!. I called NB support their suggestion was to return the product. It would have taken several weeks to get another pair. They gave me a $20 refund for the shoe lace but they could not replace it??? Their suggestion was for me to go to a shop that sells NB??? The actual manufacturer of the shoe didn't have a replacement shoe lace for the model. wowI am very disappointed with this purchase and once I punched the missing hole I realized, later on, that I couldn't return the shoe. I used to hold NB in high regards, but I was mistaken.

Simply wish you had more sizes in stock. Very frustrating when no sizes near my 13 size or available. Great shoes, never even bother with cheaper models available. Continually lasting at least 6 years or more. Tongues are shrinking. Not keen about that. Why are shoelaces always way too long. I always have to pay to replace them immediately. Just ship with two sets of laces instead. One the proper length and your two-yard-long ones. Have to tie two bows just to take up all the excess length. Makes no sense at all. Thanks for producing these very high quality shoes.

I've bought and used these Made in USA shoes for decades. A pair goes from dress/casual new, to running/jogging, then transitions to cross country jogs and walks, and finally, after miles and miles of wear and abuse, to lawn and garden chores. The blown-rubber sole never seems to wear out. The fit is perfect for my 12 Medium feet. I currently have three pairs: 12-year old knock arounds for cross country walking and chores, 1-year old pair for concrete path running/jogging ... and still look good enough for casual, and a new in box pair in case the great American elves stop crarfting them. Hope New Balance will warn me if this should happen, as I'd have to stockpile a couple more pairs.

I need to warn buyers of these shoes that the soles are made of poor quality and will likely fall apart shortly after the expiration of the warranty.After leaving my M993GLs in my closet for some time, I put them on only to have both of the soles fall apart and become detached from the shoe after 10 minutes of use. I have worn 990 / 993 versions exclusively for almost 30 years, first as a runner, then as a walker the last 13.5 years. Since 2009 I have walked 24,650 miles, all outdoors, in New Balance shoes. I have changed shoes every 1,000 miles, now on my most recent pair - #24. Will complete my "walk around the circumference of the earth, 24,901 miles in March, 2023. I weigh 200# and this shoe has served me well and I have been vocal about my preference for this shoe when asked. Unfortunately this current pair is most likely my last purchase at over $200. You have finally reached the point where I have been priced out. I will not purchase the 993 again. I plan to purchase the Beast.

I normally wear Hoka Bondis. I recently found out that New Balance still had a few USA made shoes. Being an American factory worker, i take pride in spending the extra cash for our stuff whenever possible. The Bondis are about 150 and a heavenly running shoe for anyone who needs pillowy insoles. The 993 was 180. The 993 is probably too heavy to be a running shoe. The cushion is not great. BUT it is still comfortable and that extra weight is from the suede leather. I put an high dollar insole in mine and took the elastic laces from my old bondis and made a shoe pretty close to what i like. These are very nice shoes but i think New Balance can do better. Looking at you engineering/high rank decision makers....the insoles should be breathtaking in a 180 dollar shoe. The laces should be top notch as well. I'm an overpronator and they were recommended, around twenty years ago now, to address that, which they have very well if the fact I'm still running at 65 is any indication, despite no ACL in one knee and an old injury in the other. My previous pairs collected most their mileage running on trails in the dunes. Getting a little too old for that, alas, so now they spend their time on the treadmill. Previous pairs held up excellently. One set is now my grubby hiking shoes and the other my nicer walking shoes, still looking very nice with well over 1000 miles on them (I know, but I'm a tightwad, and the dunes are soft) and still providing plenty of cushion. I have tried many different shoes before stumbling on the made in USA line. My first pair were the 990 v4. These shoes actually changed my world. They relieved my foot pain while providing unmatched comfort and stability. Next we're the v5's, same comfort and stability. Now my dailies are the 993. These are almost as comfortable as the 990 but a little more stable. I also have never had a shoe last as long as these. I wear them to work 12 hour shifts on concrete. I did change the insoles after 6 months. I highly recommend this line of NB.
