I found these cleats for my 9 year old son after trying out different Adidas models, Nikes and Pumas. My son has wider feet and high arch, and everything we tried hurt his feet after just an hour of training session or game time (he plays F1 club soccer). Most cleats were too narrow, and some wider cleats had weird flat arch design where it’s hard to get into the shoes. We would get cool looking cleats but they would end up hurting his feet.That’s when I found these wide cleats from New Balance, and it has been about six months now of him putting these on at least 3 times a week for minimum of 1.5 hours a session - and he has not complained once. Got these for my 6 year old son. All of the regular width fleets were hurting his feet, so we ordered the NB wide fit. They have been a game changer! They’re comfortable and perform great on the field. We will be sticking with these in the future.
It says leather upper in the description but I don't think the junior version of these boots actually are. I think its a synthetic upper.
Perfect soccer shoes for my son. It's very hard to find wide size shoes for my son in general and even more difficult are soccer cleats. These wide cleats are comfortable for him. Wish we had more options in colors other than white.
Seems like a decent shoe. We bought it bc my son has trouble finding shoes that fit his wide, flat feet. Unfortunately, the sizing is really off and it runs prob at least 1 size larger than standard so we had to return. Materials were average.
Compared to other Youth brands, we found these New Balance cleats to run much longer than standard Y6 and Y5.5. In fact, I had ordered the Y6 on rush shipping only to return and order smaller size (Y5.5 which my son is now outgrowing) which were also a full thumb width too long. I paid for rush shipping twice only to return both pairs since their sizing is not standard. I wish NB carried cleats in local stores so kids could try them on. They seem like great cleats but I'm not going to order a 3rd / 4th pair guessing when we need them now.
Good shoe at reasonable price for footy boots. New Balance is better than other brands but they still don’t make a boot for kids with wide feet!
