I love the shoe. But unfortunately they run really small. I am usually a 5 in kids to be comfortable. If I want something fitted I will order 4.5. But in this case I order the New Balance 550 in 5 and I don't think that's enough. Maybe next time a 5.5 or 6. They're really stiff.

These shoes fit to my feet well. I am a size 8 in women so I got a 6.5 in big kids sizes. These are stiff first try but when broken in, it feels nice! If you want a more loose/comfy fit, I'd suggest going .5 bit bigger. If you have slightly bigger ankles than average, these would be a little weird looking but it's not significantly noticeable on my feet. Overall, I love it!

I got the black pair for work. They look good. But they aren't comfortable. I have had them for a month now and they are getting kind of broke in so they feel a lot better but if you wear them a long period of time. I would get insoles even for kid. They deserve comfort too.

I had really high hopes for these sneakers. The color, style and look are great, but they are made so poorly. First, even when tied super tight, they slip off your feet in the back. I tried 2 different sizes (I am a 7.5-8 in women's, and ordered the 6 & 6.5 in kids) and both slipped. Second, the tongue inside was almost coming off the shoes, and in both pairs! It felt sticky, and that it would eventually come apart from the rest of the shoe! These are so hyped up and definitely not worth it. I was very surprised at the poor quality. Don't waste your money on these.
These are so extremely narrow in front! I have thin feet, and they squeeze. They look so cute on other people, but I'm very disappointed. Uncomfortable. I got the white ones.
I have been wanting a pair of 550s for about a year now, but they're always sold out & I am not interested in paying resale prices. I was happy to see that they were in stock for Big Kid sizes a few weeks back and I ended up ordering a pair of the all white shoe. They shipped in a timely manner, but when I opened the box I noticed that they were a completely different color. I actually like them better than the color that I ordered. I ordered a size 6Y as I typically wear a 5.5 and I read elsewhere that it might be best to size up half a size if you have wide feet, they were right and the 6 fit just right. They are comfortable shoes although they do rub the back of my ankle a bit as i have been wearing ankle length socks.
I was so excited to receive this pair but when I fully inspected the shoes, it had running stitches. I believe I had a defective pair sent to me. I tried contacting for help to get an exchange of the same item but unfortunately they couldn't help me but send a return label which I didn't want. Other than that, I really love the shoes that's why I'm so disappointed.
Ordered these in size 7 because I saw that reviews said they ran small. I'm normally an 8 in women's, so 7 would be 8.5. Maybe it's because it's kids sizing, but the sizing was off. The shoe is extremely narrow and too long. If I had narrow feet then a 6.5 may have fit. I didn't try walking around, but they seem very stiff and uncomfortable.
I am a 7, sometimes 7.5 in women's shoes and I got a size 6 and they git perfectly!! I've been wanting 550s for sooo long after I couldn't snag the ALD collab ones and these are perfect! A lot of people said they rub up against the back of your ankle but I wear them with high socks and they're great. I got the grey color way and they are great with any outfit - jeans, sweatpants, shorts, etc.! So so good and you need!
I am absolutely obsessed with all the 550 colorways as well as the overall silhouette of the shoe itself. In my opinion it is a beautiful and comfortable shoe. Best of both worlds. So I decided to pick up the all black shoe to use as my beaters. Since I'm a veterinarian technician, these shoes are absolutely perfect since you cant really see how dirty they really are until you clean them lol. However, my only issue with these shoes is the fact that there is sharp pieces of plastic poking out on the inside of the right shoe so it makes it a little unbearable to walk when I'm wearing regular socks. I bought mine in big kids size so I'm sure its because kids shoes are lower quality for whatever reason.
