Pigskin suede and mesh upper. ABZORB midsole with cushioning and compression resistance for impact absorption. Premium synthetic suede sockliner. Rubber toe bumper and outsole. Reflective N logo. New Balance USA branding. The 990v2 is back in a classic color combination for the new season. The pair is predominantly crafted from pig suede and mesh and features an ABZORB midsole that uses cushioning and compression resistance to enhance impact absorption. As the shoe is made in the USA, it is detailed with New Balance USA branding as well as N logos with a reflective border that shimmers in the light. The brandβs 990 series has been rejuvenated in a major way as it continues to celebrate the iconic franchise and subsequently crank out new colorways and OG reissues alike. The original 990 made waves in the early 1980s when it became the first running shoe with a three-figure price tag. In the years since, New Balance has consistently perfected the design with new versions that remain known for their superior comfort.

Causally for daily activities, the shoe looks great. The arch support is minimal and wish the insole was a bit more supportive. The width in the toe is average, so wider toe box lovers beware. Overall, I was expecting more comfort for the price point, however "made in the USA" is worth something, right?

Very unhappy buyer here. Received the shoes only to find a big hole in the mesh on the toe box, a very obvious defect that should have never made it through QC. I used a forwarding address due to being stationed overseas for work, so now I have to pay for international shipping (expensive) to return the shoes, with no reimbursement for shipping costs. This could have been avoided with proper quality control checks.

Wow these are really spiffy. Bought these as a Christmas gift for my Dad. He loves them. Easily the nicest pair of sneakers he has owned. These are really well made sneakers and look even better.

These are the best shoes I ever worn. I bought for the style and comfort blend but these shoes held up while traveling to Mexico and Chile. I took them on a small hike and the comfort is still there!
I've been a New Balance fan FOREVER, and couldn't wait to get these on my doorstep. The 990 series has been a staple in my closet for the past 25+ years and it felt like Christmas in August when these arrived. NB is synonymous with comfort and style, and this 990 v2 pairs well with nearly everything. IYKYK...π
I wear my MiUSA 990v2's as a true lifestyle shoe, around the house to around town. The fit is great, they are comfortable and they are well made. I love the feeling of putting these on and remembering the days when 990v1's and then v2's were THE running shoes to wear. I wear size 13 2E or 14 D in 990v3's through v5's so ordered these in size 14 D. They fit perfect. Was only able to get the black and white model as the grey and navy models in size 14 were sold out. Make more large sizes! Americans have large feet these days and the large sizes almost always sell out quickly.
I wanted to love these, but the quality is sloppy. Rubber runner toe started un-gluing and peeling on day 1. Other parts are ungluing as well. The shoes run large, almost a full size large.
The tongue already came off of this shoe. I've had it for barely a month. Poor quality control or just poor quality in general? Either way. ππΌππΌ
These sneakers should be reviewing me. What could I add to their impeccable reputation besides absolutely nothing? Had these twenty years ago and nothing has changed. They were perfect then and they're perfect now.
I wonder if anyone else has had this problem- these shoes have been irritating the balls of my feet. I think it's how the stitching from the outer leather is tucked under the area where the balls of my feet are. These shoes seem to be the correct size and I like everything else about them. It's disappointing because they are fairly expensive and I'm on my feet for a good portion of the day.
