Not pretty but pretty comfortable! I have three pairs of these shoes. I have a pair for in the house (doesn't go outside), a pair for the gym, and some for hiking. I spent a lot of money and a lot of time trying out different shoes. I even asked everyone online who claims to walk all these steps, yet they're all gatekeepers. My foot is wide, my arch is very high and my heels are extremely narrow, so I have a difficult time finding shoes that I can walk all day in. Nike is not my friend and the new balance that is not made in America, also not my friend. These new balance made in America are the best shoes I could find that I could walk in for miles. These are gorgeous shoes. I love the pig suede, so much softer and more pliable than cow suede. The fit was great and I have a slightly wide small foot. Didn' have to go wide or size up. My only issues: 1) the price point is prohibitive for many -- it's too bad that MAde in USA has to be so far above a standard price. I can acept a premium, but almost twice as much is tough to bear. 2) while the quality of the shoe in general is top quality, I was a bit disappointed in the way the tongue was sewn to the vamp. It's attached roughly and sewn on only partially which allows the sides of the tongue at the front of the shoe to fold under. These are no doubt the worst sneakers I've ever owned. I was excited for their release and purchased as soon as available, but they run large and didn't fit well. Since there's a no return policy, I figured I'd just get used to it. After a day or so of wearing them, I noticed the sides separating and reached out to customer service whose only reply was that there are no returns. Now after two months of wear, the front tread has separated from the shoe. For the price, I thought these would be good quality and last me a while, but instead they're the cheapest shoe I've worn. Save yourself the disappointment and don't buy them!

I have 4 pairs of 990v2's including the navy sea salt version. I absolutely love wearing these shoes. They are comfortable, well made, and come in some beautiful color combinations. I wear these as lifestyle shoes around the house and around town. Feel 20+ years younger every time I put a pair on! Great memories. The fit is spot on. I wear size 13 2E's or 14 D's in 990v3's through v5's. Ordered the v2's in 14 D and they fit great. Can wear them all day with no discomfort. Step back in time and try a pair. You will be glad you did.
I wear my MiUSA 990v2's as a true lifestyle shoe, around the house to around town. The fit is great, they are comfortable and they are well made. I love the feeling of putting these on and remembering the days when 990v1's and then v2's were THE running shoes to wear. I wear size 13 2E or 14 D in 990v3's through v5's so ordered these in size 14 D. They fit perfect. Was only able to get the black and white model as the grey and navy models in size 14 were sold out. Make more large sizes! Americans have large feet these days and the large sizes almost always sell out quickly.

Would have tried on in store but again they are rarely in stock so I had to risk another reorder in a new size.Luckily, a week or 2 after my return, a 7 came in and I snatched it right up. It fits like a 6.5 so I could even go up to a 7.5 for a comfortable fit. Saying all this to say get your regular size or if you are in between sizes, get the next half size up but do NOT size down. I would like to consider myself a sneaker head..... to some degree. I've always been a fan of new balance. Made in USA ones to be specific. I have in my arsenal 1300, 996, 1500 and now these gems. Love the color way and style. As I laced them up, the anticipation built to finally slip these mofos on. The feel and comfort can only be described as pillows for your feet. They already feel broken in. I'm probably going to wear them to bed so I'm that more comfortable in my slumber. NB, I hope you continue bringing back the made in USA models. I could use a new pair of 1300s. I'll be waiting. Impatiently.
My foot is a double D in front and a triple AAA heel, and a high arch and high instep. I am 82 and need to preserve my knees and hips. The new balance 990v5 is the only shoe I have experienced so far----I think I am on my 5th pair---that works for me as an everyday shoe. Now that I am over 80 I wear my tennis shoes everywhere, even if it's a dressy event. I do hope New Balance continues to make this style!!!I also have to give a shout out to Merrill's hiking shoes. The Merrill's hiking shoes fit me and do a lot of the gripping the uphill and downhill earth so my knees don't have to. And there's a safety element.
I’m always looking for comfy yet supportive shoes for my narrow feet. I need a bit of arch support if possible, but more often than not I switch the removable liner to one of my own. They aren’t the most attractive shoe (I ordered the black) that I own, but I don’t really care about that. I need to feel secure and comfortable when at home or out doing errands. This is everything I had hoped this shoe would offer. I will be purchasing more of this style. Wish it came in white :) New Balance sneakers fit my narrow flat feet the best of all brands I’ve tried (and I’ve tried many brands/styles) over the years. I did not change my normal size when ordering this shoe, and the fit is perfect.
