Returned these due to multiple factors:1. tongue could be a little plusher midway through the tounge.2. very tight toe box, as there is no wide size, which NB is known for offering, they decided to make this super slim. I do not know why.(?)3. Cushion is a joke, and the added insole should have a little more cushion, because board feel, well I will get to that soon.4. Narrow back heel part too, with a lack of true padding where padding does not have an effect on board feel.5. Brown Color was totally dope in style, but due to the bad ergonomics, I had to return, which was a total bummer, because the color, and overall design looked so dope.6. Putting a NB logo on something that Vans offers is not what I expected or will accept from NB. By the way, I love NB, in a slightly wider config. than the normal width, but I have changed brands because of this. Maybe in a war-torn country these will be the toast of the town, but I aint wearing these things down at the skatepark around town. Peace

Hi My name is Herman and I've been skating mainly street for about 10 years. When I look for a shoe, I either look for a slim vulc that i skate flat with, or a more durable cupsole to jump down stairs with. i am 182cm tall and i use a 42.5 - 43 shoe size, depending on the shoeafter skating in these shoes for 3 months i can tell that they are one of my new favorites. The shoes are true to size, although they are a bit bulky (which I like). New Balance have really boasted about the quality and technology that went into making these shoes, and you can tell. i usually burn through shoes in 1-2 months, and these have lasted me twice as long. pros: really comfortable, last a long time, look cool and most importantly skate well.cons: a bit too bulky if you are looking for ... MoreHi My name is Herman and I've been skating mainly street for about 10 years. This is not the one. It doesn't have that much board feel since it's a thick cupsole. These shoes are really durable, skate well, have good impact protection and look good! i would recommend these shoes if you are looking for a high quality cupsole shoe.

This is my second pair I've bought. I originally got the black/white colorway, and loved it. but I wanted another pair with a bit more color so I got the white/forest green colorway. By far the most durable and comfortable skate shoe I've had so far, the materials are literally perfect for skating. there is a strong suede or nubuck outer, with an insanely durable mesh and plastic inner thats great for the constant abrasion of skate tricks. the sole is very comfortable, and absorbs impact very well, although it has a thick sole it still has amazing board feel. I'm a size 11½ or 12 and I bought a 12 and it fit perfectly!

I started skating in the late 80s so I've seen many shoes come and go or come and stay and hope this one sticks around. ES Accel o.g. or some variation is my typical go to but at 42 yrs old this shoe would for sure be my go to if you guys brought back the original brown color way or something similar. Maybe solid grey with a gum sole? Some of the NB kicks are a little narrow but this one runs a little larger in the toe area which is great because it doesn't rub the toe raw. Fits perfect with an FP high profile insole upgrade. Super grippy soles, and so far haven't burned a flip trick hole through where I normally would have already with other shoes. I even started using them as a summer work shoe and it's held up to 7 12 hr days a week. Honestly just wanted some cool grey New Balances to add to my collection so I picked these up from the website. What I got was one of the best skating shoe in the market right now. New Balance has thrown all the technology that they had up their sleeve with this shoe for example; Ndurance, Fantomfit, FuelCell, and that sweet sweet suede that New Balance uses. It also has some nice to haves like elastic straps in the tongue, an Ortholite removable insole, extra laces, and triple stitching. This feels like a shoe that I only want to use while skating, you would wear soccer cleats outside the field now would ya?Overall I am very satisfied with this signature shoe. New Balance have struck gold working with Tiago Lemos.
Order a half size smaller. Like any leather shoes, they take awhile to break in. Especially if you are skating them. I have a wide foot and the toe box of the shoe helps to alleviate the issues I've had skating other shoes that are more narrow (Cons/Nike/Adidas/Es).With any cupsole skate shoe, you lose a bit of boardfeel for more protection. This shoe has a ton of it. The heel is cushioned incredibly well and it is rather large. Makes my heel flip tricks flip with ease. As for kick flip tricks, the shoes will need to break in before the flick feels right. I have only skated the leather version of this shoe, but maybe go with the suede option if you want to sacrifice a bit of durability for better flick.I love the heel pods and tongue supports. Makes for a very comfortable shoe that doesn't move around much when skating it. The laces are also some of the best and won't rip easily. The shoes look awesome and I've gotten a ton of compliments on them, despite looking somewhat like a "dad shoe" depending on the colorway.Negatives:The upper collar of the shoe will wear down and rip if you do a lot heel flip tricks. Nothing a little bit off super glue can't fix, but it's worth a mention. The mesh area above your toes. As other have stated this causes the shoe to flex inward instead of outward. This may cause a bit of discomfort at first, but once the leather softens up, it's not an issue. The mesh is also very thin. I have yet to rip through mine, but there are signs of wear due to tricks like impossibles and caspers. This also doesn't protect the top of your foot well either because it's so thin. Expect to really feel it if you board lands on this area of the shoe. Would love if they eliminate the mesh.Price. Don't order these shoes from this site. Look around online and buy them with a discount coupon. I know these are the most feature rich skate shoes NB# offers, but nobody should be spending $110. I've had 3 pairs and have gotten them all around $85.
Shoes showed up. Kinda slow shipping. Great looking bright colored shoes. Unfortunately they run small. The online size chart is of no use what so ever. Now to deal with the return process. Thanks for the printable label. No thanks for having to wait for another lengthy period to get the next shoes and to get my money returned.
Stylish and just as comfortable (even more)as the eS accel (which was the most comfy skate show prior to the 1010). This is my fourth pair (I got gray/hi-lite blue color way), and they're my "every once and a while/keep clean" pair though. I use my white/gum sole's for skating and whatever else. These'll take a whole lot of pain; I put the first two pairs through the ringer and they're still good to go. Think it's time for pair number 5 now; those new light forest greens are looking real good!
Not really skating like I used to so these shoes are just my go-to everyday shoes for everyday activities.I wanted to buy a pair to support Tiago who is one of the most impressive and legit pro skaters at the moment. His pop and stule is ridiculous.Channeling my inner Tiago I felt extra fresh moving around the city, picking up the kids and shopping in my brown suede 1010s.Here are three main things I've noticed so far:1 - Tiago 1010s are comfy. Living in a city where rain is the usual forecast, very wet toe caps doesn't mean wet toes thankfully.3 - Tiago 1010s can go off road. I recently hiked everyday for a couple of weeks and yhe Tiago's gave me the support, grip and comfort I needed. I won't like, on slippery slopes you have to tread carefully but that's also common sense. So year, I'm very satisfied with my purchase of NB Tiago 1010s and can easily see myself buying another pair if these ever die - which seems highly unlikely.
I have had arthritis for most of my life which has caused my left foot to be smaller than my right by a half size, and my ankle makes it tough to find a comfortable, supportive, but not pressuring fit. I was interested in purchasing the Tiago as I tried it on at a local store and it was a great fit for my feet (which is tough to find given my ankle issues) in the size that fit each foot. I chatted in to see if there was anything NB could do in terms of buying mismatched size, BOGO, or any discount at all if i bought two pairs of same shoe, and they were completely unwilling to help. Wish i could have bought this shoe as it looks great and is actually surprisingly supportive for a skate shoe that still sits low and is flatter than a regular sneaker.
