I bought these shoes for two reasons: I have a wide foot and the basketball courts I play on are dusty. New Balance is known for accommodating wide feet, and I had read that these particular shoes were exceptionally good on dusty courts. I am a size 10 and the shoes were true-to-size and comfortable in width. And they did perform very well on the dusty court. Another great thing about these shoes is that they didn't cost an arm and a leg like some basketball shoes.

Amazing

I was unsure of these after wearing the v1 for a year - I even wrote an early review stating that I didn't like them.... but after a few times wearing these I absolutely fell in love. They are amazing. Perfect fit, perfect support, perfect everything. I love them so much! The black and whiter color is great because I don't want anything super flashy. I'm a middle aged dude just trying to keep up, I like the basic colors. I even ordered a second identical pair. Thank you new balance for creating a great basketball sneaker.

Basketball footwear

I purchased these basketball shoes as a gift for a friend. He loves them for the surefooted feel and support that they provide. The colors were a compromise and we wish there were more options available. They were a great value for the sale price. The ordering, billing, and shipping on this order were 5-star, 1st class.

Classic functional midtop with premium touches

I bought these for outdoor play, after trying Kyrie infinity, Lebron 19, Jordan 36, and finding the modern Nikes to fit poorly. The 2 Way have better upper support and stability, like a classic midtop basketball shoe from my young days 90s-00s.After some good street sessions I'd say they have great lockdown, near perfect grip, good impact protection, and excellent court feel. All materials feel tough, unlike the Nikes, that fit more like bulky running shoes, with big outriggers and strange designs.New Balance used great materials. My favorite is the suede at the back and around the ankle. Super soft and premium.I knew these were what I was looking for the moment I tried them on.

GREAT SHOE!

One of the best pairs of basketball shoes I’ve owned. Have been playing in them indoors twice a week and have not had any big issues with them so far. The lockdown is good. I’m a fan of this type of shoe that is sort of inbetween a low and mid top, so if you’re looking for a true mid top this might be for you. Love all the colourways and the asymmetrical designs. Only issue with the shoe (and most basketball shoes in general) is that the insole that comes with the shoe is poor quality and does not provide any support. Overall, I would recommend highly.

Great look and feel, poor durability

I love the look of these shoes. The fit is alright - I was worried after some reviews said they were too narrow but I don't have any problems there. They're a bit longer than my last UA shoes in the same size but not by much. They're comfortable and the grip is excellent. I did roll my ankle in them on the 5th use but that might be a coincidence or just having more grip than my old shoes. I'd rate them 5 stars except for the fact that the inside collar is already tearing from rubbing against each other after only 2 months. This really negates the positives as I'll have to buy more shoes within the year.

Love them, mostly

I have worn the original version for a year now (v1 two WXY) and I wore the wide size. At the time of writing this review there is no option for wide in the v2. So, I chose the same size but in standard width and the fit is great! I am uncertain if I like the new lace system compared to the v1. The v1 had a traditional style lace system with more holes, and two holes at the top near the ankle opposed to only one on the v2. I am able to fit the new version snugly, but think I'd still prefer the traditional style lace system that the v1 had. Either way I am very happy with the v2, Overall, I love the sneakers and am glad they have enough room to not need a wide size. Keep it up New Balance!

New Balance Basketball Shoe

I ordered these shoes a few days ago and they arrived today, ahead of schedule. Prior to this order I didn't even know New Balance made basketball shoes. I have not worn them out of the house yet. The fit is good. There's ample cushioning, which I like. The color is different from what I expected. Although the description states blue with deep violet, they looked more white than blue on my laptop screen. All in all I like them and I'm looking forward to real-world testing them. I'm betting others who see me wearing them will be surprised they're New Balance.

Second Time

So this is the second time around I have purchased these shoes. First time around they lasted me about 6 months which is great for the amount of outdoor basketball that I play. I finally got a new pair once the nose of the shoe had torn open exposing my toe and the part that really bothered me is the framing of the sole and how it rubbed up against my inner heal while playing. at first I thought it was from wear/tear and the shoes sole just morphing from tons of play. Now to my second pair which have only been used a few times... I'm experiencing the same rubbing problem on my heal after only a few uses of the shoe which actually results in bleeding if don't protect my foot properly. I would Recommend finding another shoe if you can!

the original was better

I've been wearing the V1 for over a year now and love them, they are the most comfortable shoe I have worn in years. Here are my issues the v2 - The v2 has a re-designed lace pattern that creates a hard pressure point on top of the foot right at the joint when you bend your leg forward and the new shoe has only one lace hole in the top near your ankle whereas the v1 had two holes. Having two holes up top helped create a tighter fit in the ankle and eliminates the pressure point the v2 has. The v2 also does not come in wide so sizing is tricky and not great. The v1 was available in wide and sizing was perfect. I can't find a shoe as comfortable as the wide v1, and sadly the v2 does not even come close.
