I bought these shoes for two reasons: I have a wide foot and the basketball courts I play on are dusty. New Balance is known for accommodating wide feet, and I had read that these particular shoes were exceptionally good on dusty courts. I am a size 10 and the shoes were true-to-size and comfortable in width. And they did perform very well on the dusty court. Another great thing about these shoes is that they didn't cost an arm and a leg like some basketball shoes.

Terribly uncomfortable torture devices. Not eligible for return, so I gave them to Goodwill. But I felt guilty about making them available to another human with feet. Horrible shoes.

I was unsure of these after wearing the v1 for a year - I even wrote an early review stating that I didn't like them.... but after a few times wearing these I absolutely fell in love. They are amazing. Perfect fit, perfect support, perfect everything. I love them so much! The black and whiter color is great because I don't want anything super flashy. I'm a middle aged dude just trying to keep up, I like the basic colors. I even ordered a second identical pair. Thank you new balance for creating a great basketball sneaker.

I purchased these basketball shoes as a gift for a friend. He loves them for the surefooted feel and support that they provide. The colors were a compromise and we wish there were more options available. They were a great value for the sale price. The ordering, billing, and shipping on this order were 5-star, 1st class.
I bought these to use these for my basketball mates on Tuesdays and Thursdays. I have not been able to play since I purchased these. So I am currently breaking them in every other day for a few hours to see how they hold up. Good quality shoe not as comfortable as I would've liked.
I have worn the original version for a year now (v1 two WXY) and I wore the wide size. At the time of writing this review there is no option for wide in the v2. So, I chose the same size but in standard width and the fit is great! I am uncertain if I like the new lace system compared to the v1. The v1 had a traditional style lace system with more holes, and two holes at the top near the ankle opposed to only one on the v2. I am able to fit the new version snugly, but think I'd still prefer the traditional style lace system that the v1 had. Either way I am very happy with the v2, Overall, I love the sneakers and am glad they have enough room to not need a wide size. Keep it up New Balance!
I ordered these because I saw several reviews saying they were great for wide feet. Some people recommended sizing up, but I'm a size 16 and that was the biggest they offer.When I got them and tried them on, I just knew they weren't for me. When a shoe is too narrow it can feel like the bottom of your foot is running up onto the side of the shoe. That's exactly what these felt like.I wish they worked out because I thought they looked decent, but there's no way I could walk around in those let alone play basketball.
My son got these for basketball and has worn them for maybe 3 months just for practices and the insoles are now starting to slide down while he's wearing them. They have rubbed a blister on inside of his foot around the ankle area. They still look great but aren't holding up as well as we had hoped. With all the good reviews I feel like maybe we just got a bad pair of shoes.
Great basketball shoes! Very comfortable with really good grip. I would highly recommend them to anyone who is looking for an affordable shoe that has all the qualities to give you the best performance on the basketball court. 5 out of 5 stars. Available in multiple colors.
I've been wearing the V1 for over a year now and love them, they are the most comfortable shoe I have worn in years. Here are my issues the v2 - The v2 has a re-designed lace pattern that creates a hard pressure point on top of the foot right at the joint when you bend your leg forward and the new shoe has only one lace hole in the top near your ankle whereas the v1 had two holes. Having two holes up top helped create a tighter fit in the ankle and eliminates the pressure point the v2 has. The v2 also does not come in wide so sizing is tricky and not great. The v1 was available in wide and sizing was perfect. I can't find a shoe as comfortable as the wide v1, and sadly the v2 does not even come close.
