The New Balance 9060 Eclipse reinterprets elements from the iconic 99X models to craft a futuristic look, then dresses the hybrid shoe in a contrasting colorway that pops. The upper of the Eclipse iteration of the New Balance 9060 features a base of black mesh that offers lightweight breathability. This is overlaid with undulating strips of dark navy blue suede that gives this shoe a Y2K aesthetic. Flat tonal laces cross over a navy blue leather tongue that sports a tongue tag branding window inspired by the 991 lace jewel. The dual-density midsole in shades of off-white and pale gray features layers of ABZORB and SBS cushioning. This midsole offers stark color contrast against the upper, but matches the translucent CR device that offers stability at the heel. The outsole features gray rubber pads with off-white diamonds, a nod to the 860. Our favorite feature of this sneaker is the design of the side panel Ns.
