always love the support this shoe gives. years ago a podiatrist recommended the 860 for my mild overpronation and a D fitting. sadly i returned this pair as i did not like the look of the squarer toe box on this update. comfort and everything else was perfect. this was the lightest colour i could get without being multi coloured. i wear them all the time and wanted something to blend in with all outfits for walking while travelling. i had the V10 model for a 4month europe trip and they were awesome in every aspect. i am trying the brooks adrenaline now and so happy they are predominantry all white Finally!

They are very supportive.Just a couple of minor issues - the laces are quite short compared to previous 860 versions. This makes it hard to open the shoe sufficiently to put on without the laces coming out of the eyelets. Also makes the laces hard to do up.Secondly, in the 2E fitting, there's only black, black or black. Some different, lighter colours would be great.

I purchased NB shoes for the first time in many years. Color choices and price along with additional discounts sealed the deal. Wasn't sure which size to order as sizing has changed over time. I'm traditionally 8.5 narrow or medium width in most brands. Got both 8.5 and 9, 2 colors pink and sea foam. The 8.5 fit best even with heavier socks but the 9, because shoe material seems to be flexible and I can tie tight so my foot doesn't slip around is ok as well. In my 60's, feet have flattened so I don't have much arch - shoes felt comfortable with my orthotics in, I'm on my feet teaching all day so we will see how my feet/legs/back feel over time. Hopefully fine. 5 stars due to price, color and how comfortable they felt when put on.

This is about the 4th pair of New Balance 860 that I have ordered on-line. They have always fit perfectly. This time, the right shoe is a bit roomy. I tried an insole but it still moved on my foot as I walked. I changed to heavier socks which is good for now but come warmer weather, won't be. This is not something I noticed until I was actually out for my walk and using a longer stride than you would ever use inside. The left shoe is perfect.
I purchased a pair via online as no local stores had my size available.Upon recieving the shoes, I noticed they insoles were different to my last pair. As it has the Fresh Foam in them. Not sure if I had ordered the wrong shoe altogether or its what is in the newer range (my old pair is several years old).The fit is perfect but feel my foot starts to sweat a lot quicker and my toes hurt a little bit after awhile. Even though they are not squashed.I haven't worn them outside at all as I am scared that they are not 100% right.I used the lace lock but feel my feet are slightly loose in the runners after awhile so I have to redo my laces. As an over-pronating runner I've been running in the NB860s since the v9s, I've bought probably four pairs from Joe's NB Outlet as well. For anyone who's used the v11 with the soft, ""sock"" like ankle piece, the v12 has moved back to a ""regular,"" stiffer ankle piece like the older versions. But as all versions, they're super comfortable and supportive and I've run hundreds of miles in this shoe over the past several years. Love them, love their colors and options for wide feet, love ordering from Joe's.
Nice pair of shoes, I love 860s. The only thing hard to predict lately has been the width at the front. I used to wear 7.5 wide feet all life long. Then just a couple of years ago, New Balance changed their width at the front and made the shoes wider. So when I order wide feet as usual, they were too wide. I was advised to order regular width and I started doing that. When I ordered this particular pair in regular width, it feels a little narrower in the front than my previous pair so it's been a bit challenging to figure out whether to order regular width or wide width. Hopefully, this pair will open up a bit after wearing it few times.
Used for summer fitness walking. Have a 8B fit foot on machine but this is MY Goldilocks size for in this brand/style where the 9B Fitting was too narrow at toes (has rigid strengthening here). The size 9 "extra" length is to ensure thumb width room beyond toes and the D width is necessary to ensure that foot spread on toe off is not compromised causing compression over time. Having recovered from over 2 years extreme pain & restriction from a Morton's Neuroma in the metatarsal area to be protected from further insult. BTW i commonly wore 7.5 to 8 B Nike, Saucony, and Asics as a runner 30 years ago and feel that I paid the price from many Kms of training. Also this shoe doesnt feel so controlling/ rigid as does a Asics Cumulus and overall would prefer that Nike Free ... MoreUsed for summer fitness walking. For years NB 860's have been my favorite running shoe. I recently purchased the 860v12 in Vibrant Pink and also in Eclipse. The Pink fit as usual, but the Eclipse seem to be a half size smaller. I'm not sure if this is a one-off or if all the Eclipse run smaller. I reordered in a half size larger...hopefully that will do the trick. Also, I'm definitely not in love with the Vibrant Pink color- when they say vibrant, they're not exaggerating. Although, they're perfect if you're looking for a high visibility sneaker.
Very happy with these shoes and their delivery, and they are what I expected. First, I am glad I did not believe the reviews on size. I am a true 8M in most shoes and all of my NB shoes. They did not run smaller than I expected as others have stated. Second, I did purchase these specifically knowing they are stability shoes that I plan to run in. So the feel is also what I wanted and what I was looking for: not too stiff and not too soft. I have had older 860's and am happy with this updated pair! Also very happy with this outlet price!!
