New Balance - The running shoes of the 1970s might best be described as deceptively simple. While lacking the visible technology and aggressive design of later years, the innovations of the 70s would lay the foundation for modern performance. The 237 is a contemporary reinterpretation of 70s running heritage that melds a range of heritage design inspirations into one deceptively simple, exceptionally versatile, contemporary silhouette. An EVA midsole, herringbone outsole and streamlined upper offer a classic launching point for modern flourishes like oversized N branding, extended midsole length, and gator inspired foxing and mudguard. You could call the cohesion of the 237s familiar feel and exaggerated updates the simplest way to make a statement.

Let me tell you guys, these shoes feel like you’re walking on a cloud. I’m not lying. The curvature of the sole allows your foot to gracefully meet the ground; there is absolutely no clunking around in these. My family spent two days at Disneyland and everyone’s feet were killing them besides mine! I think I convinced everyone to buy a pair for themselves! Seriously though, these shoes are a dream. And the Sea Salt/Pink Haze color combo get me compliments whenever I wear them. I will 100% be buying more 237s! Highly recommend!!!!!! Fit true to size as well. Appreciate the half sizes and the wideness of these shoes!

I was on the fence about ordering these I'm glad that I did. They are so very comfortable, lightweight and easy to wear. They could've done a better job at finishing the tongue part of the sneaker that is right underneath the laces. I can see the foam peeking through and I feel it could've been stitched/finished in a way it didn't show. Also the white part of the sole is soft so if you hit your foot the wrong angle or rub it against something it will leave an impression on it. Not unhappy about this purchase though.

I purchased these shoes online in the “white gum” color and they are SO cute. However, my heel slid out of them when I walked so ultimately they didn’t work for me. Also- it was weird that the white part where the toes hit (see pic where I’m pointing) seemed to be made out of nylon?! (Think: windbreaker or tent material). It was really bizarre as I would have expected it to be mesh. Lastly, the tongue had exposed foam which just gave it an unfinished look. I’m bummed because I really wanted these shoes to work out.

These ARE NOT comfortable right out of the box. They feel stiff and clunky. I do not understand all these reviews saying 'so comfortable' - they're totally not! Especially compared to my other new balance shoes that ARE. Still not sure what I'm gonna do... if I return them or not... they do run true to size (I wear a 10 in all shoes and ordered a 10), and the color is unbeatable- matches everything. Great neutral colored shoe which is what I wanted. Gonna attempt to wear around house for 2 days and break in. Otherwise they are going back!
I have recently purchased a total of 5 pairs in different colors, of this style shoe. I am obsessed to say the least. They are not only the most comfortable pair of shoes I’ve ever worn, they are so adorable and in love with the retro style and different color combinations! I noticed I’ve had to size up 1/2 size (usually 6.5 but order them in 7) for a comfortable fit with socks. If I were to wear them without socks or thin compression stocking style socks then my usual size works ok. Just choose to go with the bigger size for more all day comfort.
I was very excited to get these sneakers but was overall disappointed. First of all, they run small so definitely size up a half size. But sizing aside, I found the tongue to be very poorly constructed and it felt cheap, to the point that you can see the thin yellow foam used underneath the fabric. Even for casual, everyday shoes (not athletic) I was skeptical they would last. From New Balance and LL Bean my expectations were just higher. These were returned.
These shoes are so cute! The purple looks exactly like the pictures online. Definitely a quality shoe with genuine suede around the toe and heel. As for the shoe size, I personally am a size 8 in women's shoes and I would say these are true to size. They fit me perfectly. I personally purchased these because I am on my feet most of the time at work. The reason I took a star off is due to the comfort. I wore them for a week at work and I noticed that they made the balls of my feet hurt. I'm not sure if its maybe because I need to break them in more or maybe because I have a flat feet. I don't think its the insole that comes with shoe itself because that's pretty comfortable for me. But all on all, I am definitely going to keep them.
These sneakers are really cute on and very comfy. The flared sole and bold yellow logo really add style. They fit me true to size. Toe box is tapered and therefore a bit narrow but I wear them more for fashion than exercise. As others have noted, the tongue seems like a cost cutting choice rather than for style as it’s a layer of foam sandwiched between 2 layers of nylon with raw edges and no binding. Probably won’t affect wear for me but might be an issue for someone else. Great sneaker otherwise.
I wore these inside for a couple of hours and then headed out for my 2+ mile walk wearing them. They were comfortable for the entire walk. I was very impressed by that. Wish I could say that for all the shoes I've purchased over the past year. And, it's a great looking shoe, too. I'm really happy with this purchase. Hopefully they will last me for many many walks. I wear a size 8.5-9 shoe. I ordered a 9.5 so I can wear it with socks. That worked out great.
NB 237 are my favorite style shoe. But they are always sold out in my size (s6 in shoes but go up 1/2 size for NB). I had a white/blue pair from Anthro that I LOVED! I finally found another in my size so I ordered in yellow. Pretty bummed when I received them. The yellow is fine. But the rest of the shoe is meh. The material is totally different than my other ones. The shoe on the inside was fleece (??) so my feet get so hot and my socks keep sliding down. Already looking for a new pair
