In order to put the shoes on, I had to remove the laces from the last two slits! It's the second pair of NB shoes I bought lately that are like that! Then I have to double tie them and there's WAY too much left over. The shoe tends to rub my foot where those last two slits are. They are not holes for shoe laces which is strange. Not something I have noticed with other brands. Very disappointing! I also have to search for shoes that tie. I've been buying shoes on line for a lot of years. Lately it's been hard to find a shoe I like.

I started buying New Balance shoes many years ago at my podiatrists recommendation, given the support and quality. Recently, I have noticed that the fit and quality of the brand has changed. And not for the better. I need good support and a wide toe box. I have always been able to wear a "wide" New Balance but these felt a bit tight. I made the mistake of wearing them outside for a walk. My feet were in pain after 10 minutes. Toe box too narrow. It felt like a regular width. I'm so disappointed and can not return because they were worn outside. I will never trust New Balance again to deliver a shoe that is "wide" as advertised. I really liked to order through Shoe Mall due to their ease of doing so since I live over 2 hours from a shoe store, but will not do so ... MoreI started buying New Balance shoes many years ago at my podiatrists recommendation, given the support and quality. Love these New Balance shoe. I don't run for exercise but these are perfect for 'running errands and running around the house"". Love that these come in wide and are so supportive and comfortable. I actually bought a pair in all 4 colors. Also I have been shopping from Joe's for years and have NEVER had an issue with their excellent service. In the two instances that I had to return a purchase, it was handled without any problems. I don't usually write reviews but this company has made my life easier.

I have been working for a little over a month now, mind you it’s been several years since my last job. So I knew it was going to take some time for my body to get use to working again. But the pain I was getting everyday in my feet was excruciating, by far the worst pain I’ve ever felt in my feet. I am on my feet for 7 1/2 hours. I figured my feet were hurting so bad due to me not being on them like I use to. As time went on I started to realize maybe it’s my shoes that aren’t helping much either. I started doing my research/talking to others about what shoes are really good for being on your feet for multiple hours. I got a few brands but one brand I kept hearing over and over, New Balance. As time went on I started to realize maybe it’s my shoes that aren’t helping much either. I started doing my research/talking to others about what shoes are really good for being on your feet for multiple hours. I got a few brands but one brand I kept hearing over and over, New Balance. My mother in law has a bunch that she orders through Shoes 4 Crews. One day after work I headed to DSW to buy me a pair of shoes. I tried on a few pairs just to get different feels of comfort. But these one’s we’re the ONE! The level of comfort is truly out of this world. I felt like I had a bounce when I walked. The first day/night at work with my new shoes had me feeling like a new woman. I couldn’t wait to get home and see if my feet hurt. I have to be honest, I wasn’t too surprised when I came home and took my shoes off with NO PAIN! No pain in my feet at all!!! These are worth every dollar. I seriously would have paid more for them. I will most definitely buy another pair when it’s needed. Highly recommend. Oh yes, one more thing, I feel like they run just a bit on the small size. I had to get a size 8.5. Depending on the brand I usually wear a size 7.5 some times a 7.
This is a great pair of shoes. It offers good support and cushioning. They are very comfortable. I purchased it in Wide but I have narrow feet and these fit snug in the toe box. I would not recommend it to anyone with actual wide feet. I wear size 6.5 in dress shoes and bought these in size 7 and they fit perfect with athletic socks. One last thing about these is that the shoelaces are a bit short. I’ll probably replace them.
These shoes are so comfortable. I have several foot issues and neuropathy so I was not looking for a runner shoe but it looked like the tennis shoe I was seeking. I didn't like the fit of the Orthopaedic shoes my Podiatrist suggested. I usually wear a size 8 in a tennis shoe but had none so I tried the 7.5 wide. Perfect. The heel cup is comfy and my hammertoe loves the mesh top. My aging feet likes the wide width.
I was on my way to a festival and realized I forgot my sneakers! So I had to stop and buy some. I was so glad they had all black sneakers in my size but the sizes run different on New Balance. I have never bought this brand before. I tried on my regular size 8.5 and it was too tight, 9 was too tight as well then I realized it was because they run narrow. I was happy to see they had them in wide width. Never in my life have I had to wear ww shoes but I did in these, and still had to size up to a 9. Overall though they were very comfortable. I was on my feet all day every day for 4 days straight and my feet felt great. The only complaint I have is the heel. You have to make sure you have these unlaced and opened a lot before you slide your foot in or the heel folds in ... MoreI was on my way to a festival and realized I forgot my sneakers! I got a half size bigger than what I normally wear (5.5, got a 6 wide). It did not need any breaking in! was super comfortable, I did change out the insoles to the Dr Scholl's. It is however, not restaurant nonslip. You will slip in water with these. Overall very happy with my purchase, my wide feet was happy at the end of my shift.
I bought the wide fit last week. “Wide fit” LOL. They didn’t even fit my aunts feet and she has super narrow feet and we’re the same size shoe. Visible glue and looked like they had been worn. They look and feel fake. Definitely not the quality of new balance I’m used to. I’ve always been an 8.5 in new balance but these were more like a 6. Don’t recommend.
This 'new' '520 v7' version of the New Balance 520 Running Shoe has a completely different size profile. I've been buying a the 520 for years in a 6.5 Wide, and both the length and width have always been perfect. My order of the v7 version just came and they are way too short (my toes are uncomfortably up against the end of the shoe), while they're also now a bit too wide. While the associated exterior style changes make the shoe less visually appealing, I could live with that IF THEY FIT. Not sure what's happened with this shoe, but I guess I need to find a new pair of go-to black shoes because this isn't going to work at all. I had a brief thought that it might be worth trying a size 7, but since they're already too wide in a size that's too small, I'm not ... MoreThis 'new' '520 v7' version of the New Balance 520 Running Shoe has a completely different size profile. Grrr....
