I love these shoes. I wear them to class and work sometimes. They have good grip and stability so I can play basketball and pickleball in them. The thing I noticed as soon as i got them out of the box was that their construction is sloppy. Paint bleeds past intended lines, exposed glue etc. The white "leather" is very fake in look and feel. These things cant be seen from most people's perspective but they are disappointing nonetheless

Very nice looking shoe. Have not worn them yet since getting them 2 weeks ago. The stitching is loose around the midsole which makes me think the shoes will come apart. The leather quality is not what I expected and very hard. QC 4 out of 10. Very narrow shoe. True size 9 is about a half inch larger. I recommend the high top version over low tops for a better fit.

The color way is perfect for the fall and feel in love with it immediately. These are my first 550 but I went True to Size and they fit perfectly. I can see that if I went a half size down they would be tighter so do with that what you will.Overall the fit of the shoe and the colors are perfect. You get the retro but not the pain. The one big disappointment about these shoes is the fact the paint is already stripping away after wearing them 1 time. You can see the photos below.Maybe it's just my pair but I really wish the paint was better on these so order at your own risks.

Needed a new classic shoe that would match with everything. They’re so comfy once you break them in. They’re a sundae narrow and very stiff at first but after 1 day of wear they fit really well. Honestly I went a half size up after reading the reviews, but after breaking them in I don’t think I needed to as they’re a little bit loose now and I have to tighten the laces to keep them from slipping. Overall a great purchase and would definitely buy another pair!
I loved the color story of this shoe in the raw sugar/navy, however the toe box was too narrow (squished toes in all directions). It fit me well everywhere else, and felt cushioned with decent arch support. I had previously bought the Fresh Foam X Lav v2 in an 8-1/2 which fit well in the toe area, but the 8-1/2 in this 550 shoe was just too constricting in the toe. A size 9 in the 550 would have probably worked better. There was a light smudge in the suede of the toe, and a wrinkle in the toe area. As a sidenote, I had requested to be notified when these came back in stock...that never happened. I had to keep checking on size status myself. Returning.
These shoes are so cute, I love the way it looks on! But the fit is terrible. I swear these shoes are made for kangaroos. Who has feet that long and narrow?! The unisex and women's 550s fit differently too. I ordered both in W 6.5 but the womens one fits so much tighter than the unisex! I don't consider myself to have wide feet so when I say these are narrow, they are very narrow! You must have skinny feet to wear these. So while they fit "true to size" length wise, they do not fit width wise. I also don't recommend sizing up because they are long. Please New Balance... offer "wide" versions of this style!
I love these shoes so much and got compliments on them the first time I wore them! Overall they’re really comfortable, but I wish I would’ve sized up one size. They originally felt fine when trying on, so I didn’t in fear of them being too clunky. But now after wearing them a few times I wish I did. They’re not too small to wear, just would’ve been a little more comfy if I did. I usually wear a 7.5 and should’ve gotten an 8.
ASOS never listed this as women’s so I assumed men’s. The photo is not representative of the shoe, if it was I would have realised it was a women’s sea salt colourway. Bad experience. Over inflated price. I’m usually a straightforward and experienced online shopper. Do better ASOS.
I waited a long time for the 550 to come back in stock. Finally was able to order one pair online. However, the pair that came in mail was very narrow in the toe area. When I compared it to my other 550s and the photos on the website, I can see that the side piece on this pair is smaller. That's probably what makes the shoe narrower. It was so narrow that the shoes hurt my feet and I have no choice but to return. The sad thing is all 550s in my size are gone by the time I received the shoe in the mail.
