As usual, New Balance works for me. I vary between 8 and 8.5 and ordered both sizes. The 8.5 worked perfectly so if you are between sizes, order up. No "break-in" time needed, wore them right from the box for several miles a day. Toe guards are extremely important for me. This toe guard just makes it, if it was any narrower my big toe would make a hole right through the net-like fabric. Other reviews discussed the missing back pull tabs. I do like these very much but had no problem getting the sneakers on without them. The "collar" area around the ankle to the laces is not finished off on the ends near the laces and that does detract from appearance, but not from comfort.

I purchased these shoes; because I own several other pairs of New Balance running shoes; and these did not disappoint. They are constructed well; the fit is great - snug but still allow your feet room. The colors are really nice and they look good on.I like the extra cushioning on the back; absorbs shock from your heels. I would recommend these running shoes to anyone looking for a solid running shoe to use for the gym, road running and maybe even easy trail running.

I bought this pair of shoes to hike trails. The external soles seem durable, and the shoes appear well made. The uppers are a very thin mesh that are similar to Ulta shoes which are considerably more expensive and wear out quickly; however, given this material and where/how I will be using these NBs (as advertised), I don't expect these shoes to last long at all which is very disappointing. Additionally, I thought these shoes would provide the trademark NB cushion and arch support and comfort I have fully enjoyed with past shoes, but no. The shoes are super rigid and the inner sole/footbed is not soft at all. Quite a surprise. Hopefully, wearing them will break them in and the shoes will become more comfortable with wear, but not counting on it, honestly. They are ... MoreI bought this pair of shoes to hike trails. I recently had major surgery on my lower leg after an accident. I was not able to walk or wear shoes for awhile and found these when trying on dozens of sneakers in store once given the green light to start to walk again. I don’t think I’ve ever had a more comfortable sneaker. Great support, lightweight which is a huge plus for me since I’ve lost muscle being sedentary with recovery. And I love the colors and the pebble speckling on the sides of the shoe base. My PT complimented me on them, and I am debating buying a second pair already so I never am without a pair of these. Runs true to size, if you live in a warmer climate and your feet tend to swell, maybe half size up but otherwise you should be good to go.
I am a fan of the new balance brand. Shoe sensation usually has at least a decent coupon. I can use toward my purchase. These shoes fit very well and are comfortable. Only drawback is the fabric is kind of hard to clean. I accidentally splashed mud on my shoes shortly after I got them. I think there's going to be a stain. Otherwise I'm very satisfied with my purchase.
My latest purchase just arrived !I am so happy I bought New Balance Trail Running Shoes.I was looking for new athletic shoes for quite awhile. After trying on many brands and styles these delivered the fit and comfort I was looking for. They complement my work out clothes of course, but most importantly they provide great support for running.I am a size 8 in most brands and styles. These shoes are true to size, but I sized them up to 8,5 and they fit just right.I like a little bit more toe space and that was a reason for going up half a size.
These run a WHOLE SIZE small. I had a bit of an ordeal exchanging them, but it eventually worked out. I usually wear a 9 wide in New Balance, I sized up to a 9.5 wide and they're still a tiny bit short. I expect that will be remedied when fully broken in. Otherwise, they are very lightweight which is great, and despite being lightweight they seem like they will hold up to all of the walking, trekking, and running around that I do both in the city and up in the mountains.
I ordered my typical size 8.5 for a New Balance shoe and wore these in my house for about 5-10 minutes to see how they felt. The length was a little short compared to my other New Balance shoes, but I think it was exasperated by the "toe protect" rubber coating on the upper mesh; it was firm and rubbed against my toes. These shoes were only available in wide width but they did not feel wide with the "toe protect" feature still firm against my little toe. The back of the shoe came up higher on my ankle than I prefer and it rubbed my ankle--even while I was wearing my New Balance socks with the tab at the back that is supposed to help protect from such rubbing. I loved the color and general look of the shoe. The sole seemed soft and cushy under my feet. Just received and they are SO COMFORTABLE. I usually wear a 7.5 in NB fresh foam but those are for lounging. I ordered an 8 in these to walk and they fit, but there isn't much extra room. They seem about the same size as my fresh foams. Really cute (black and pink) and comfortable. Can't believe how light they are. Lighter than my asics runners. Like these a lot and highly recommend.
These are so cute and they stand out with a pop of color. However, they were extremely painful on the back of my heel! I still have scars my remember being sore wearing them or honestly wearing anything else for at least two weeks. I’ve actually started walking around on my tiptoes because it was even ripping off my Band-Aids. Unfortunately I didn’t pack an extra pair shoes so I had to make it work. Do not recommend. But there are other nitrel shoes that I absolutely love, especially for hiking, so I don’t know how this one failed. they must’ve messed with the formula.
