The 57/40 is the answer to a question that is simple, yet astronomical in scale. Despite its legacy of unassuming, almost effortless versatility, the original 574 was a unique design for its era, a hybrid road/trail design that didn't lean on visible technical features. The 57/40 approaches the hybrid concept with a few extra years' worth of design developments to explore, and creates a new perspective on an iconic design. An overall sleeker silhouette provided by a slimmer last combines with a range of exaggerated features. The unique midsole combines a flared take on the classic 574 construction with ‘90s tech inspired details, while the mudguard and eyerow feature the distinctive wavy embellishments of the ‘80s.

Love these shoes. I get a lot of compliments on the style and the color. Only issue (more of a non-issue) is that the toe-area is pretty wide, so they feel larger than they are. I don't mind it at all. Definitely recommend!

After reading some reviews and looking at other shoes I had, I felt confident ordering my size without trying them on first. Sure enough they fit perfectly. They are very comfortable and you can tell the build quality is there. Yes, they are expensive, but this is a case where you get what you pay for. No regrets

I recently ordered a pair of 57/40 and they're great. The shoe is comfortable and can go with many outfits! Although, I do suggest purchasing a half size down. Before ordering mine I read other reviews saying the same thing, so I bought a 7 when I usually wear a 7.5 and they fit perfectly.
No complaints, I could walk forever in these. I think they are pretty true to size, and fairly easy to keep clean although the colour. Absolutely recommend!
I really like these shoes! At first I was nervous about the color, but if u have neutral color clothing you should be fine!! They are very comfortable also. I can see them lasting me a long time!
Love these shoes - so great for summer and are really comfortable! As other people have said, I would really recommend sizing up. I am normally a size 4 and ordered a size 5 and they fit perfectly.
Absolutely love the look of these trainers and they are really comfy. Not as comfortable as previous new balances I have owned but still lovely to wear. I would just say size up .5 of a size. I am a regular 7 euro 40 and these were a little snug length widen
Thought these shoes were very cute, but the top of mine just where the laces end is seen incorrectly and super painful close to my big toe. Had to cut the seam on top to make room even though I already have very narrow feet.
I had been eyeing these for a long time and finally decided to go through it. Best decision ever. They are probably the comfiest sneakers I own. My usual size is 36,5 but I bought them in 37,5, and they fit perfectly.
