Extremely disappointed with this shoe, and this company. I've had 860s for years and never had a problem. My 90 year old grandmother found a pair from another retailer and saved them for me as a gift. Turns out, this version has something wrong with the toe box and the right shoe caused significant pain to my pinkie toe. I pushed through the pain and after a couple days I stopped wearing them. The pain stuck around for over a week. The retailer is unable to return due to it being more than 45 days from purchase. And New Balance will do nothing- not even consider that the product could be defective. I will never buy from New Balance again. My money will go to the retailers that take their products back when defective, regardless of the retailer, and make it right ... MoreExtremely disappointed with this shoe, and this company. I've been wearing 860s since before they were an 860 - they started as 760, then 761, 762, thru 769 then back to 760, then they became 860. I've run a few marathons among other distances over the years. I know this shoe. But lately, what the heck is going on New Balance?! I used to always wear a 6.5D. Never had to try a new version on, the same size was the same size. I had stocked up before Fresh Foam came on the scene. I recently made a new purchase online - 6.5D v12. Then I started reading reviews and got concerned. I went to a local store and tried on what they had - 6.5D and 7D (v13 for both). Man, the 6.5D was SHORT. I went home and tried to cancel the v12 order but it already shipped. They're not only long enough but the toe box feels huger than every single other version for decades! But now I have to pay shipping to send back the 7's because New Balance cannot consistently make a shoe lately. Not cool, New Balance, not cool.

This is my second pair of the Fresh Foam X 860, my first one was the v11. I love this shoes because they have great arch support and I am flat footed. I love walking with them, they are light and comfortable. My pet peeve is the sizing, my first pair was a 9 1/2 wide. After trial and error I discovered that I am 9 1/2 XW in the v13. I returned 3 pairs before finding my size. I recommend purchasing them if you have flat feet and need a lot of support, these are exceptional. The guys at the San Juan store helped me find the right size.

The NB 860 in a D width is my go to shoe and has been for YEARS (devoted 860 fan).Years ago, I kept getting cramping when I was running and got the advice from a running room employee to choose a D width shoe. I have been in these shoes since version 3 or 4 and keep coming back. The V13 has a nice thick cushion and is very comfortable/absorbs a lot of shock when running. The way the shoes tie up feels nice and snug, and the lacing system feels like my foot is very secure.I had an issue with the v12's where my normal size didn't fit so I waited until the v13's came out and these fit like a glove!I'll be back for v14 when these wear out!
I've owned New Balance 860s before and I knew what I needed, so I was frustrated that when I made my online order, I received the wide version of my shoe - at no point on the site does the width get mentioned. I went into my local store to get them changed to normal width, where I got told that they are only available in wide and the website doesn't list it - the manager said they have brought it up many times with head office and I'm not the first person to deal with this. The staff I talked to were awesome but unfortunately I now don't own this shoe. Please Rebel Sport Online, it's not hard - just list the width of your New Balance like other sportwear sites do. I want to shop with you. This has been my go to shoe for years. When I took it out of the box I thought it looked small. I compared it to my old shoe and it is. So, sadly sending it back. It fits my small foot, but not my larger foot. So, i can say it is really comfy on the foot it fits. But, i need both to fit! Lovely and narrow with a great fitting heel. I've never had this good a fit in any other running shoe so I've stayed with this shoe for years. Why change the sizing? Now, I can't find the shoe anywhere in the next size. They don't make many 2a. Also, why do people with narrow feet only get the option to buy boring colours? I've put up with ugly for fit. NB please make more of this shoe in 2a in quality and in different colours. Very sad and disappointed with my purchase.
Sizing is not very accurate to order and the store is no longer in Las Vegas. Was able to try a 9 , ordered a 9 1/2 M because needed little more length. When it was delivered, trying it on it still felt it was a 9 M which does not make sense. Called and sending back because it was a gift for them to get credit. Like the styles and looking forward to try them became my daughter likes them. Noticed on reviews some said run small but never had to order two sizes up and any shoe. A lot of wasted time to keep ordering till you find the right one and then another style fits different again. Read that a lot on all different style reviews. I stopped using one brand because their sizing wasn't consistent with the same shoes in the box. I was so excited when these shoes arrived. First, I wear a size 8M and these feel a little wider than a regular shoe, which is not a bad thing. They are super comfortable.I'm a power walker and love the fact that these are not only lightweight but have great flexibility in the sole around the ball of your foot. This is probably the most important feature for me in picking a good sneaker. The heel is a bit higher and sole a bit wider and I thought I'd have a hard time getting used to them but the transition was seamless. You really don't notice and I feel like it snaps when I walk - giving me a little bounce. The fabric is breathable mesh and the shoe hugs your ankle which steadies your foot. I don't know how to explain it but it feels really solid. Most times I ... MoreI was so excited when these shoes arrived. They're an all around excellent sneaker and so comfortable, I won't buy anything else. This is my go-to shoe.
Unfortunately really hate these. I went with my all-time regular shoe size (I've tried 10+ shoe brands and am always a Regular width, size 8... sometimes size 7.5.) Maybe I am in-between regular width and wide but i usually never have to go with W but these shoes are SO narrow and run short. My feet were so squished it actually caused indents on the sole of my feet after a shift as a nurse. My toes were running into the front all day. They feel so so stiff too. I heard raves about new balance, my husband is obsessed with his... but unfortunately a huge miss for me. Threw away the box and now can't even return.
New Balance has been my go to for running shoes for 26 years. I need a narrow stability shoe. I’ve never had full color choice wearing a narrow, but over the last 4 years they have gone to 1 style, 1 color. I used to have 2-3 styles with 2 colors each to choose from. I accepted that I would not find any of the special edition or really fun colors years ago. I’m really sick of the color black. Does the company think that people with narrow feet don’t like color? They offer 5 colors in regular, 5 colors in wide, 3 colors in x-wide, and only 1 in narrow in this style. It’s the only stability shoe offered in narrow at all.I know this is a first world problem, but seriously is it really too much to ask when so many other options exist?
