I was thrilled to find this bargain one-size package of 60 Nexcare quality adhesive bandages! I've bought many assorted boxes so I have plenty of little ones I may never use. This is the size everyone needs for scraped knees and blistered heels. And they really stick! That's what I like about Nexcare. A small cut from a kitchen knife will not stop you from finishing your dinner prep if you cover it with one of these bandages because they are truly waterproof. When applied to dry skin first swabbed with alcohol, this scent-less bandage will stay put! I usually have to use alcohol to help remove it from my tender aging skin after it's been in place for a day or two. They don't come off until I take them off!

These stick very, very firmly and stay stuck on for a long time even in the shower but, oh Lordy, getting the things actually applied to skin is a frickin nightmare. Just getting those four teeny tiny backing strips off is not easy. Or any fun. The adhesive wings are so thin, and so curly, that they crumple into a wad the second the tiny strips are removed. The wad, once stuck on itself, is irredeemably and utterly wasted and fit only for garbage, so yet another overpriced bandage must be fetched and the whole maddening process begun again. If you are quite proud of your own manual dexterity, if you never injure any spot in your body that requires two hands to bandage, if your children sit in perfect stillness awaiting their bandaids, or if perhaps you have a friend ... MoreThese stick very, very firmly and stay stuck on for a long time even in the shower but, oh Lordy, getting the things actually applied to skin is a frickin nightmare. They do stick very well, although the bandage coverage area is smaller than any other bandage I’ve ever seen, and they are certainly a challenge for the kinetically bored, but for most of us — no. Just no.

4.5 Stars - These Nexcare bandages are definitely a step up from your standard bandage. The adhesive part is clear and feels almost like extremely thin plastic wrap. The bandages seems to do a decent job of protecting a cut even when exposed to water. Since these bandages are more expensive, I would use these on the hands or anywhere else that is frequently exposed to water and use cheaper bandages on areas of the skin that do not get wet. Minus 0.5 star for the color of the gauze padding which is a dark beige; if you have very tanned skin, your skin tone will match the color but if you have pale skin or black skin, the gauze part of the bandage will be obvious. It's a minor, cosmetic detail. I like these enough that I will buy them again when I run out.

Good size and performance at a reasonable price.

For the most part... I like Nexcare bandages very much. Once in use, they create a secure seal that protects wounds, as intended, even with washing, showering, etc. The individual bandages, however, can be very difficult to remove from the sealed individual packets and subsequently to apply to the skin. Sometimes the backing sticks to the bandage and sometimes to the pouch in which it is sealed. Then, once liberated from the pouch and placed on the skin, the peel-off that needs to be removed for the seal to be created is not always easily removed, which sometimes results in waste... i.e., the need to discard and try again with a fresh bandage. So, it's a great product (or will be) once the adhesive and packaging elements are improved. Again, though, they work ... MoreFor the most part... I like Nexcare bandages very much. Just a little more product refinement is required.

Great waterproof hold - meds in, dirt out
26 June 2024

Sometimes brand is worth hunting down - and this is one. Of all the bandaids I have used, this brand is consistently easy to apply, secure in coverage with water %26 dirt proof edges as long as it is applied smoothly - even on bendy, frequently washed hands and fingers - even when you use hand sanitizer multiple times!! Now, after swimming/ water activities, I will change the bandage following washing my area with soap %26 water just to be extra careful, but I can't think of when it failed to hold after it was put on dry skin.Triple Anti-b or other ointments stay inside and mess stays out until you take it off. Even gloving and ungloving are fine as long as bandaid is applied to dry skin and edges aren't raised. Ointments applied to cuts/ etc don't "bleed" through ... MoreSometimes brand is worth hunting down - and this is one. [Rewarded Review] Great bandages
31 October 2023

I received this in exchange for an honest review. These do indeed last 48 hours. I like the adhesive tape because it is comfortable, thin, waterproof, and keeps dirt and germs out of the wound. Mine was used on my wrist area and it conformed very well. I like that it stays on during showers and doing dishes.I prefer the clear adhesive tape because it is more discreet. Also because there is no human skin that looks like the regular color bandages (previously called flesh colored), those I find racist. The box contains a nice assortment of sizes for various needs. These are a nice addition to my medicine cabinet at home, in my RV, and for travel.

[Rewarded Review] Lives Up to 'Max Hold' Billing
7 November 2023

In a fortunate coincidence, 3M offered to send a complimentary box of Nexcare Max Hold Waterproof Bandages just as my family was emptying the last box of bandages in our cabinet. I happily accepted, and the assortment arrived in a few short days.My son is a frequent consumer of bandages -- of all shapes and styles -- and he claimed a handful right off the bat. While helping to wash one of our vehicles, he slipped and fell backwards, violently hitting his back against a visiting relative's car. He went inside to get some first aid, and it wasn't until some time later that I lifted his shirt and saw the large bloody scrape in the middle of his back. As noted, the Nexcare box had various sizes, so he put the largest one to use. Fortunately, he recovered fairly quickly, and I replaced the bandage just once, a few days later, with a much smaller one. Both sizes were effective, with the only slight negative being their unusual shape made it hard to keep them from binding up a bit. However, they lived up to their waterproof billing and kept the wound covered until we took them off, which required a bit of effort. I considered the needed effort positive, though, indicating the bandages kept their "Max Hold" even after multiple days of use.

[Rewarded Review] Simply The Best

Well, as with all the 3M products I try to find flaws so I can be a good reviewer. I am sorry to report that I cannot find flaws with every product. I try but they are almost always flawless. As before, I won't submit anything until I've tried it. So the waterproof Max Hold bandage was not used until I needed one in Florida, after swimming in our pool. My new shoes caused a worn sore spot on my heel. And then I spent a lot of time in our pool with the bandage applied to protect my heel.To my surprise this bandage did not come off and it stayed with me after exiting the water. And it stayed on until I decided to remove its protection.I wish I had been able to get these over the many years I needed a waterproof bandage. They work great and do not come off! [Rewarded Review] Waterproof Film still needs work
2 November 2023

I received this product from 3M for free to evaluate. While I didn't have a cut to test on, I put it on my foot in the area in front of my big toe like if I had a bunion. The outer membrane is a clear plastic which makes it waterproof. While the part of the foot I put it on doesn't get a large amount of movement, it does move a little as you wiggle your toes and walk around. While the plastic is waterproof, the movement of the skin allowed little channels underneath to loosen. I have used similar type bandaids in the past and they both had the same problem with the membrane not forming a perfect seal around the skin. Despite the little channels forming under the film, it still held up fairly well and remained on the skin through multiple showers and walking around ... MoreI received this product from 3M for free to evaluate. It did start to peel off when soaked in water for 20-30 minutes so may not stay on while swimming or taking a long bath. I am white and while the outside it clear, the inner part more matches the tanned portions on my foot. The regular fabric bandaids do flex around joints much better than the film so maybe you could incorporate the film on top of a fabric base for better hold.

[Rewarded Review] Worked Better than expected

I wanted to review these bandages a while ago but waited until I actually needed them to do so. Yesterday I had a mishap while doing food prep and sliced my thumb rather deeply. After cleaning my cut, I promptly applied this bandage. The bandage is fairly thin however the adhesive holds nicely. I tested the bandage by washing my hands multiple times and I even took a shower. I left the bandage on until this morning and it actually held up. I was impressed. Today I decided to change the bandages and changing how I applied them. This time I used two bandages together instead of one as my attempt to provide a wider coverage area but in my opinion the adhesive is a bit compromised.
