Changed my mind about adhesive bandages, period.

I purchased these bandages to cover a wart that I am treating on my pointer finger. I have been using them for a least a week now and they really stay on and are water proof! After a long day of teaching with multiple times of handwashing and applying hand sanitizer, the bandage stayed put. I even did some gardening that afetnoon; watering, planting and rinsing herbs; again the bandage held. It was only when I really scrubbed to get the garden dirt off my hands that the bandage started to peel off, but I already had it on for about 10 hours at that point.

I purchased this product about 3 days ago at walgreens because my daughter has a really bad cut on her leg. So I needed something that was big to cover the area and I decided to give these a try since they were waterproof. The adhesive on this bandage literally made bumps and blisters on my daughters leg. They skin that was covered by the adhesive was red. I would recommend trying this on a small area. My daughter had the bandage on for two days and I feel terrible about it. The only reason why I took the bandage off is because she started developing bumps around her mouth as well and thats when I knew it had to be the bandage because I haven’t introduced anything new in her routine.

[Rewarded Review] Bandages are okay, but in need of improvement.....
22 April 2023

I volunteer to receive free 3M products in order to review them. I am reviewing Nexcare Clear/Waterproof Bandages. The package includes 3 sizes of bandages. The bandages are sized to be used to cover a variety of minor cuts. The bandages include a small thin cushioned patch makes up the part of the bandage that should cover the wound. The bandages are invisible to a point, depending on how they are placed. The bandages do stick well, however I found that they last longer when placed on flat surfaces. At least in my case, the bandage didn't remain in place on my finger for as long a time. I am a frequent hand washer. I would have rated these higher but the invisible part of the bandage, in my opinion, is much too thin. I am a frequent hand washer. I would have rated these higher but the invisible part of the bandage, in my opinion, is much too thin. I found it very hard to separate the sticky portion of the bandage from the white glossy paper backing the bandage. This resulted in me having to go through several bandages before I could get one to properly stick to my test wound. The bandage has to be slowly and gingerly removed from the backing. With some improvements these bandages could be top notch performers.

[Rewarded Review] Effective product but hard to remove
4 April 2023

I received a free sample of the Nexcare assorted bandages from 3M to review. I am a fan of Nexcare products generally, and I appreciated that this box contained different sizes of bandages for different needs. When applied correctly (it can be tough sometimes to avoid wrinkles when applying), the bandage sticks firmly and creates a waterproof seal. I used them when I had some small cuts on my hands, and I was able to wash dishes, do chores, wash my hands repeatedly, etc, without affecting the bandage. My cuts stayed dry and clean because of the Nexcare bandage. However, because the bandage is so effective, removing it can be a challenge. Some adhesive residue remained. It wasn't a big problem, but I wish the bandage were a little easier to remove.

[Rewarded Review] Full protection while less noticeable!
11 March 2023

3M gave me a free sample of this product to evaluate. I love these clear bandages because they are less noticeable but still give full protection. They are very flexible but adhesive so you don’t have to worry about it peeling off during the day. I love that it’s waterproof to keep the germs out of my cut! I’m still able to wash my hands or have peace of mind that no bacteria is getting in. Also they are latex free! For all my latex allergy friends. This box has 3 different sizes and I like the extra small one because it could be used on the face for blemishes. I put it on my finger to show the size. Overall an excellent product that I would reccomend!

[Rewarded Review] Love these, my preferred brand!
1 March 2023

I recently received a sample of the Nexcare Clear Waterproof bandages by 3 AM. I could not be happier. I think all bandages should be made this way. Waterproof! I absolutely love these Band-Aids. They stay on for days and they truly protect my cuts and scrapes. What I also like about these bandages is that they will fit on parts of your body that other bandages tend to fall off easily. The size I receive to try were elbow and knee. Which is perfect because those are two areas that bend and regular Band-Aids do not stay on your skin. I had no issues with these bandages staying on and I noticed that my scrapes and cuts heal quicker because they are protected. This is a brand that I prefer to buy whenever I need Band-Aids. I do not have an allergy to latex but I’m glad ... MoreI recently received a sample of the Nexcare Clear Waterproof bandages by 3 AM. I could not be happier. [Rewarded Review] Medical grade waterproof bandage.
20 March 2023

I received this product as a free sample to evaluate for 3M. At first I was a little taken aback at the design, so used to bandages where you have to peel off the backing to adhere to skin. I will admit I used two unsuccessfully before I saw the instructions printed on the side of the package. Once I figure it out, it adheres really well. It reminds me of the adhesive coverings the hospitals use to cover IVs. Very thin, but strong material so it moves well and can form a tight seal against your skin. The bandage is mostly clear, the piece that would go right over a wound is a beige color. Really blends in, don't really notice it. Its lasted through several hand washings. Has outlasted several other waterproof bandages I have tried in the past.

[Rewarded Review] My favorite bandages!
7 March 2024

I love these bandages and use them for pretty much all of my smaller skin-damage injuries (paper cuts, skinned joints, nicks from kitchen knives), and if I apply them correctly they can prevent damaged skin from getting wet in the shower, while doing dishes, washing hands, etc. They seem to adhere best if you clean the surrounding skin with alcohol first, and make sure it dries before you put the bandage on. I sometimes leave these bandages on for multiple days in a row without them ever coming loose; it depends where they are placed and whether there is a lot of friction at the bandage edge. They can absorb pigment from clothes, carrots, etc, but it doesn't affect their adherence. The plastic stretches out a little if it's on flexing skin so you don't even feel ... MoreI love these bandages and use them for pretty much all of my smaller skin-damage injuries (paper cuts, skinned joints, nicks from kitchen knives), and if I apply them correctly they can prevent damaged skin from getting wet in the shower, while doing dishes, washing hands, etc. They seem to adhere best if you clean the surrounding skin with alcohol first, and make sure it dries before you put the bandage on. The plastic stretches out a little if it's on flexing skin so you don't even feel them after a bit. They work best on flat skin, and are less waterproof when applied on wrinkly/frequently folded skin or near fingernails because any tiny wrinkles in your skin or the bandage can lead to channels where water can get in. But unlike big hydrocolloid bandages, the edges of these bandages do not absorb water, so if they are sealed on, you are good to go.Nexcare/3M: Please sell packs of the small size bandages only! I never use up the large or medium ones in the multipack.

[Rewarded Review] They Keep the Wound Area Dry

I received this product free in exchange for my honest opinion.I very much like the Nexcare™ Waterproof Bandages. They do indeed keep the area of the wound dry when applied properly.
