NexGard Spectra is a highly effective treatment for the prevention and treatment of fleas, heartworm, intestinal worms and the control of ticks on dogs and puppies. NexGard Spectra is a soft, highly palatable beef flavoured, vegetable-based, chew that is readily consumed by dogs when offered as a treat. Nexgard Spectra contains the active ingredients afoxolaner and milbemycin oxime. Afoxolaner provides excellent protection against fleas. For maximum effect in the control of fleas, NexGard Spectra should be used in conjunction with daily searching and removal. Afoxolaner is highly effective at killing the most problematic tick species infesting dogs in Australia (Brown Dog tick, Bush tick and the deadly Paralysis tick). Milbemycin oxime protects against heartworm and treats and controls intestinal worms (roundworm, hookworm and whipworm). Nexgard Spectra can be given to puppies from just 8 weeks of age, providing they weigh at least 2 kg. However, as its use has not been evaluated in breeding, pregnant or lactating dogs, you should consult your veterinarian for advice on suitable treatment options. NexGard Spectra should be chewed and not swallowed whole. If your dog is prone to swallow treats whole, the chew should be broken into pieces and added to a small amount of dog food.

Finally, does just about all and got it on sale so saved heaps. The only flea & tick that works and doesn’t make my dogs sick for a week, and now it works which is great, 2 out of 3 doggy’s eat it easily, 1st is a 43kg giant sooky-la but butter helps it go down. Being a chew is easy compared to the massive pellets/horse tablets of other varieties but again ONLY product that doesn’t make my dogs sick! Must have on the far south coast with bush, sand, fresh and salt water, a LOT of ticks which NONE of our dogs have had 🫶🏻

This is a great all-in-one monthly medicine to keep your dog healthy and free of dangers like ticks. It's an essential for us. Our dog hates the taste and I have to mince up the chew and mix it with a smelly cat food to make it appealing for her (and if I skimp on the cat food she will put herself to bed and refuse to eat it!).However, I just realised that the pack in the cupboard, which I thought was a six pack is actually a 3-pack. I checked my order history, because I've never ordered a 3-pack. I confirmed that I've never ordered a 3-pack. I've also never received two 3-packs in place of a six-pack. Apart from being essential, these meds are expensive! So just make sure they don't send you half the number you ordered. Yikes.

Have been using this regularly with my 2 dogs for years now. Is convenient to cover everything in a monthly dose… and so far has protected them, never had worms etc and have neither have ever had fleas or ticks, which is also good to not need to spend extra on shampoos/treatments.The ‘chewables’ are pretty big and hard, so our picky and skeptical one won’t take it whole and they are too big and too hard/dense in texture to be able to disguise or hide it whole. So mustn’t taste AS good as a treat, but obviously not too bad because they will still eat it broken up on it’s own eventually. Is able to be crumbled up though to hide in food etc, if you do have a dog pickier than ours.

Excellent product. We have been using it for several years and our dog has not suffered any tic or flea problems. She is not keen on the flavour though and I have to assist in the swallowing process, rewarded by a special treat. Ordering was easy with delivery the following day. A pleasant surprise. We got a good bargain buying 12 month's supply.
Great that Pet Circle has delivered Nexguard every time on time before dose is due . Nexguard is the only flea, tick , worm , and heartworm prevention treatment that one of my dogs does not have any reactions or side effects to ( shakes , spasms ) . My other dog does not ( better safe not sorry)- So I get the same for both of them + treat same day every 4 weeks. .
I originally took my dog to the vet as she was missing fur around the eyes and looked terrible. She was diagnosed as having optic mange and was prescribed a tablet to control it. As the vet is not visiting anymore, I had to look for an alternative to driving the 200km every 3 months. I dropped into Pet Stock one day and enquired about medicine for it and they told me to try the Nexgard. Absolutely fantastic as it works great. The difference is that I have to give a tablet every month, rather than 3 months via the vet. Cost of both medicines is no different.
I have been using this product for a few years now and it is excellent for my very clever Border Collie who never takes any medication well. He always ran away and hid and got quite frightened and stressed before and he even knew what was coming whenever he'd hear the packet being opened with other products. He never trusted me giving him any other monthly medication and it was a terrible experience for him every time. Plus, we had to have two different medications as they never covered all the parasites in one tablet. We travel a lot with him so it was so important our dog was protected from all the different ticks aswell. Now he just eats this delicious treat with no trust issues, no stress, no mess, no liquid to apply to his coat, just super easy. It covers off ... Very effective treatment for my dog's long term skin problems. I had previously spent a fortune on various over the counter treatments. This monthly tablet showed results within days. My dog became happier and playful again, without the constant irritation she had suffered for years.
I’ve purchased many times. This was really awful. I uploaded the vet prescription and they wrongly rejected it. This all took several attempts with long waits between responses to my emails. I then had to telephone. It still took forever to correct your own mistake. Very disappointing. I will probably not use again.
Seems to do the job for our Pomchi. She’s not a fan of topical applications and won’t eat the tablet either but we get it down the hatch with a little butter. It has a strong bacon flavour smell. No adverse reactions and no pests! We do a dronsit(praziquantel) or Milpro (milbemycin and praziquantel) tablet every 3m as well, a week after with no ill effects.
