Had one of these exact models for about 2 years now. I do around 30K miles a year and it's on permanently, never had any problems with it, at all. Just remember to format the Micro SD card every couple of weeks, simple to do on the camera itself. This will prevent possible card failure due to constant overwriting of data. This is nothing to do with the camera, it's an SD card thing. Would recommend getting a 128Gb Micro SD card if you want to record several days worth, as the file sizes are quite large, due to the high definition.Excellent quality video, with time, date, speed stamp, if wanted, can be turned off and audio, again if wanted.The manufacturers viewing software sometimes gives a jerky playback but downloaded files play perfectly in Windows Media ... MoreHad one of these exact models for about 2 years now. I had high hopes for this after reading some of the earlier reviews, however I wouldn't bother buying it.After following the instructions and charging for 2hrs, I realised that it required a micro SD card. I used an old one and formatted it before inserting it to set up my dash cam and got "SD card error, format SD card". After formatting it for a 2nd time I got the same error. I thought it may be the card so brought a new one (ensuring it met the required spec) and again I have got the same error message. It is a brand new formatted card and I cannot get past the first step to set up the cam. Now contacting customer services to return the item.

Great little camera however the app for nextbase doesn't work for this model anymore so if you have an iPhone you won't be able to use it. On android you can get app from an internet search and not the google play store. Made this very difficult to set up but all's good now.
Easy to install and set up, Wifi works well. Great angle of view and quality. Looking from outside the car it's difficult see that you have a Dashcam fitted, very discrete. Can't think of anything negative to say about it. Update. After using the dash cam for a while I've found it's biggest flaw. When powered from a supply controlled by the ignition, i.e. not live all the time. it looses the set date and time because the internal capacitors do not hold enough charge to last for more than a few minutes. A great shame, apart from that it's great.

Cast aside your fears of not being able to use a tertiary brand SD card, yes you can, just buy a decent quality Class 10, UHS-I SD card (you can pick up a 32gb card for around a tenner) format it using the camera buttons and it’ll be fine. Once up and running the camera quality is really good and most suitable for every day use however, to improve the functionality you’ll need to update the firmware on line through the Nextbase website to the latest version to get the best from the software. Not great item, doesnt want to link to my fone. Very complicated to use, not as described. Not like alot of other dash cams which are simplier to use
Simple to fit. I chose to get a piggy back fuseholder kit with the correct micro usb connection, from the internet, that allowed me to take a connection off the fusebox from a fuse that was controlled by the ignition switch. That way the camera did not run down the battery. (More a problem if like me the car does not run every day). The computer programme for it is simple to use and you get good quality pictures. I recommend the mobile phone opening type plastic wedges to lift the car interior trim to slip the 12volt feed cable into position up the side of the windscreen. I have searched the internet and ALDI have the best price for this camera.
Have had a pair of these (one front, one rear) in my car since the summer.Toured Europe with them.One packed up. Aldi refunded. I bought a replacement a week or so ago.Have found that the latest v4 (August 2022) firmware (I updated both cameras) keeps time / date info accurate when I return to the car after being parked up.On v3 time / date was lost as soon as power was switched off and needed resetting via the Nextbase app every time I got back in the car.Not sure how long accurate time / date will be kept without power, but it worked for over one hour the other day.So happy with this camera I've bought one as a gift for my son.
