These shoes are so pretty! Which is why I fell in love with them and bought my kids each a pair. But to my surprise, my son pair came dirty! How was someone able to return these shoes and for the workers to not conduct a proper inspection before selling them again is beyond me! To make matters worse my son shoe size is not available in stores which means it’ll take over a week plus just to get a replacement pair. I’m starting to think it’s best to shop in store or pickup in store so you can inspect your purchase beforehand. Also for future reference… these shoes ( the royal blue and white) runs extremely big! I order a 10.5 ( half size down from his original size) and their still a little room in the back of the shoe, which means I could have went a full size down. Despite these shoes coming dirty, I’ll still recommend this product, just hope you have a better pair than what my child received.

Comfortable and solid shoe for an active teenager

I’ve bought my son many well made running shoes but they just are not meant for the lifestyle of an active teenager. He blows out the sides. These are a great all around shoe and are durable. They are leather so they do not breathe as well as ventilated running shoes so I put these small moisture and smell absorbing bags in each shoe to help at the end of the day.

Great quality Air Force 1
29 April 2021

After copping the all white pair with the grey suede heel tab for $120, I was expecting high things from a seemingly ordinary looking pair of white on white AF1s. Needless to say, this pair did not disappoint, but there are still a few quirks that I would like resolved.Firstly, this pair is probably one of the best quality AF1s I’ve had in hand. The leather is very soft, tumbled, and ā€œwrinklyā€, and creases far better than the ā€œpleatherā€ found on the $90 pairs. I was also impressed by the upgraded insole which to me feels a bit more plush, as well as the liner used in the heel area which is softer and more smooth. The iridescent silver dubrae is a nice touch as well. The laces also seem more premium given their rubberized metal tips and almost stretchy nylon ...Ā MoreAfter copping the all white pair with the grey suede heel tab for $120, I was expecting high things from a seemingly ordinary looking pair of white on white AF1s. The iridescent silver dubrae is a nice touch as well. The laces also seem more premium given their rubberized metal tips and almost stretchy nylon material. I could’ve done without the rough grey suede, but it’s nice quality and doesn’t take away from the shoe. Now as to what I didn’t like is that my right shoe has excess fabric in the inside heel area which has bunched up; it’s not uncomfortable but just an aesthetic thing and expected better in terms of QC. In addition, the sneaker itself is still chunky and the toe box is just as boxy as the $90 pair. I guess I thought that since this was the ā€œCraftā€ version, it would have a more streamlined and aerodynamic re-crafted toe box similar to the OG pairs. I also noticed that the tongue is made of a nylon material which isn’t bad, but I would appreciate it if it was a bit softer and the branding was more prominent. One thing to note is that the Craft pair seems to run TTS. I compared them to my other 9.5 AF1s and the 9.5 in the Craft version feels much more snug and there is an ever so slight difference in the length as well. So no need to go a half size down in my opinion!Overall, I am pretty impressed by these shoes. I think many people don’t value quality and can’t seem to justify the $30 increase for the Craft version hence almost all color ways of the shoes not being sold out and even going under retail. I think Nike should charge $115 for the Crafts to attract more people. Now I am patiently waiting for a triple black Craft AF1 with and iridescent silver dubrae and silver lace tips! Please make that happen Nike!

Great shoes, bad store
6 August 2024

We found these on a clearance table at the St. John’s Florida location. I thought perfect match since I have the women’s version for myself. The St. John’s store was unable to price match because they said it wasn’t an available item. However dicks always has a best price guarantee. We ended up going to the river city Florida location and they price matched the shoes for us with no issues.

It's worth it.

The quality of the leather itself and the extra-cushioned insole alone make up for the small increase in price. Though I hesitated on older pairs, the sail and orange-red (I would compare the color to more of a Mars red) suede hits combined pulled at my attention immediately. The fit is identical to the non-Craft AF1 - if you usually go true to size, then go true to size. I personally wouldn't recommend sizing down unless you lace your shoes loosely. The padded insole pushes your foot up a bit closer to the fabric. I went true to size (Men's 12) and the shoe was a little roomy but not too much. Personally I prefer a looser fit but if that's not your thing then maybe go a size down.Based on the flex tests I performed on the shoe, the leather does not seem to crease ...Ā MoreThe quality of the leather itself and the extra-cushioned insole alone make up for the small increase in price. Personally I prefer a looser fit but if that's not your thing then maybe go a size down.Based on the flex tests I performed on the shoe, the leather does not seem to crease at all when the toebox is bent - much like the cheaper GR AF1 is infamous for. Instead of an unsightly crease, the smooth, buttery, pebbled leather bounces back to its original shape almost instantaneously.Speaking of bounce, the comfort on these compared to regular Forces cannot be understated. The combination of the insole, air unit, and stable outsole make for what is, in my opinion, the perfect level of comfort. I've owned the primary sole tech of the other brand with the stripes, (i'll call it "Speed") and to me it is cushioned, but unstable. While jumping on a mattress is fun, walking on it is not. This shoe allows me to feel firmly planted on the ground while simultaneously avoiding the feeling of hitting the bare pavement. These are going to be my daily shoes for a while. If you're looking for a new pair of Forces, but want something a step up from your run of the mill triple white AF1, go for these. If you're still reading this review then you obviously want these. Just get them. You won't regret it.

Quality just isn’t the same anymore
5 October 2024

I hate that I have to write this because AF1 are my all time favorite silhouette but the quality is just horrible now. Pre 2020 1 pair worn ~5 days a week would last a minimum of 2 years but recent pairs get holes in the sole within 6 months, my most recent pair got a hole in 3 months. The tread also wears out super fast and the creasing gets bad so quickly now. It’s not worth it anymore to keep buying them if they’re going to be ruined so fast. It’s forcing me to look to other brands with better quality.

Roomy shoe, size at least a half down, comfortable
9 September 2023

These are really are comfortable. The only thing about them to keep in mind, is the fit. Heel slippage is very normal and extra toe room is noticeable. I wear a 9.5 in air max pluses, air max 90s, and most nike running shoes. I did a half size down in these to a size 9, and still experience some heel slippage even after a week of wearing. I believe they will break in more and the heel slippage will subside a bit more, I wear them fully laced and tied , they are very comfortable even with the extra room in the front toe box and heel slightly slipping. My foot still stays in the shoe securely, and they are comfortable. Most people I have spoken with state that the heel slippage and extra room in the toe box, even sizing down is very normal. Tough to wear at first
24 June 2024

When I first saw these I was in grade school 1989. They were 60.00 then. Fast forward over 35 years nothing has changed except the price doubled. I have a white pair and at first they feel like a box. It does take quite a while to break in. Of coarse I have flat feet. Even worse. I have to put inserts in them. Most likely I will never buy again. I will stick with monarchs or other Nike airs
