Nike Air Max 270 'University Red'

The design concept of the new Nike Air Max 270 combines elements of the Air Max 180 and the Air Max 93 model. Its huge Air element in the heel ensures best wearing comfort. The seamless upper of the shoe is perfectly fixed by a slightly asymmetrical lacing. In this clean Black & White colourway with an eye-catching Air Bubble, the Nike AM 270 model appears on the market for the first time in 2018.

Air Max 270s don’t stand the test of time.

For the styling, I give the shoes a 5 star rating, same for comfort and fit. For durability and quality of materials, it has to be a 1. When I saw the bottom of the shoe, I questioned how long they would last. I bought multiple pairs and colors, but the Black/Bright Crimson/Blue/White colorway was my go-to. It’s approx. two years later and they’ve all but fallen apart. The right air cushion has deflated and the sole is almost completely worn. I’m not hard on my shoes and I don’t wear them everyday Mostly on weekends. Gone are the days of Nike shoes being made with quality, but pricing just seems to increase. I won’t be buying anymore of these.

Comfortable but flawed design!

I really wanted to love this shoe. It was comfortable and i could wear it for extendable periods of time. However, it has one very fatal flaw: Within 10 days of use, I noticed scruff marks on the inner facing air bubble. They look really bad on an otherwise perfect pair of black sneakers. I purchased black soleley for the reason that dirt wouldnt show and this was a complete bummer. I returned the shoe. I would recommend that Nike redesign the plastic of the air bubble to make it less prone to scruff marks. A quick google on air max 270s shows that this is a pretty common issue and folks have resorted to all kinds of mitigations to fix it. I wouldn't expect something like this for a brand new shoe.

Cute, but runs very small!

These sneakers were adorable and I was really excited to receive them, but sadly had to return them because they run so incredibly small that I couldn't walk comfortably in them. I usually wear a Women's 8.5 to 9 in regular shoes, and 9 in running shoes, so I ordered these in a 9 and my toes were practically poking through the toe box. They also felt much narrower than other running shoes I own. I would have likely needed at least a 9.5 or possibly even a 10, and maybe even a Wide version. If I had been able to try various sizes on in person, it would have helped, but I only had an online option so just decided to return the shoes and look elsewhere. My guess is that they would be perfectly comfortable if I could find the proper size.

Great Shoe, but blown out heel 3X
25 May 2023

I love this shoe, best golf shoe I've ever owned. It's like they were made for me: Super stable but not heavy, tread not cleats, no leather (vegan), narrower than average, great looking, super durable, and water resistant HOWEVER and this is kind of a bid deal, I've blown out the heel on all 3 pairs over the last 2/12 years. The first lasted several months or more and I wasn't even sure they'd take them back, but they did. The second blew out in the minute I tried them on, the third last several months and they blew out when I started really going hard on ground reaction force with my new coach who has me pressing hard into the right and left heel. I just don't think this exposed air pocketed heel works. I don't know if anyone else has this problem. I'm only 200 lbs ... MoreI love this shoe, best golf shoe I've ever owned. I'm only 200 lbs and 6'4" and I'm relatively big hitter 280-300 yds and live in LA where we do have extreme heat. Maybe its just the size 13's. IDK. The good news is the customer service is great and I've never had an issue. But I'm done I'll be moving on to a different Nike golf shoe.

I was very impressed with the support of this sneaker
30 December 2023

Gave these sneakers to my 12 year old granddaughter for Christmas. They were on her wish list and I was so proud of her for choosing a very sensible gift. These sneakers are very well made and have great support. The ones she was wearing had no support at all but the kids like wearing what's in style. When she opened the box she ran over to me and gave me a big hug. I highly recommend this product. Thank You Finish Line for putting these sneakers on sale. It made it possible for me to purchase them.

Looks Great, Not Comfortable!
14 February 2024

I really like the look of these trainers. They are stylish, and I'm able to pair these trainers with a lot of clothing I own.I buy a lot lot premium/expensive running trainers so I'm used to purchasing comfortable trainers. These unfortunately are not designed for comfort (or running). It's mainly for flat footed people (someone who isn't athletic), so if you have an arch, these are a bad choice. Also, not sure why Nike went down the route of placing the air bubble around the heel, and not directly below the heel (checkout some youtube video where the trainers are cut in half).Overall, if you want something that looks nice, these really do the trick. Don't be put off by the level of comfort these trainers offer, I think for most people, this won't be an issue. ... MoreI really like the look of these trainers. If you have an arch, it takes a bit of time to adjust.I normally purchase trainers that can be twice the price of these so I understand the comparison isn't fair. I would expect these to be cheaper as these are pretty standard, but prettier than your standard pair.

Poor Warranty Service from Nike
4 March 2024

My son purchased these shoes with the money he had earned for school clothes. After owning them for over a year his left shoe went flat. We were excited to learn Nike warrantied the shoes for two years from the manufacture date and began the warranty process. Dicks instructed us to call Nike to file a warranty claim. Now we stand 2 months later and still no voucher from Nike. We have called Nike several times and each time they are polite but unwilling to expedite the claim. We just keep being told the voucher has been mailed out and should be there any day. Well that claim is no longer ringing true. Nike refuses to just give a credit for their online store or compensate the for the 2 month delay. Frustrated, just frustrated.

Poor quality for a Nike shoe. Dicks has horrible return policy.
20 March 2024

These shoes were purchased a month ago. The inside sole is falling out. I went to return to Dicks since I am within their 90 day return policy. Dicks will no longer take any Nike or Adidas shoe for exchange/refund. You have to go thru Nike or Adidas warranty program. Nike will not exhange/refund since these our outdated shoes. They will only take shoes within a 2yr date. These shoes are dated 2/2022. I am now out $160. Think twice before purchasing this style or any shoe from Dicks Sporting Good.

The picture was a thousand words but reality was much more.

I came across the sneakers and it was one of three items I requested from my children for my birthday, but did not get it. I knew that I liked the color schematic and style and that I would eventually get it myself. It so happened that there was a price reduction and a coupon offer and those highlights made the perfect storm and I could not resist getting them. They were delivered and the package was properly and securely sealed; the same held true for the sneakers box; neither was damaged which scores high in my book. I tried them on and loved the look. They are a little snug and hoping that will change with time and wear. I am also still in the process of getting a casual outfit that matches the sneakers. Walking on clouds
24 September 2024

I use this shoe as my walking shoes. Colors are great! The airmax 270 is like having cushions for your feet. Definetly have a sporty look, but go well with leggings, shorts, or jeans. I wear them all day, and most on heavy walking days. Fit is a little snug but almost breathable. I find these shoes to run small in size and a little narrow compared to other shoes. For me particularly I have to size up a half of size. If you like your shoes a little more loose I'd even size up 1 full size.
