An all nice black shoe is ideal for a kid shoe. The Air Max 97 QS is a really simple shoe and very easy to manage and clean. I love the simplicity of the shoe and it goes perfect with almost any outfit I put on for my daughter. I am assuming since it was a kid shoe; they intentionally made it with out shoe strings so it was a little difficult putting the shoe on my daughter’s foot. Since it was a shoe sent for my six year old I ask her how did it feel and she stated, “it didn’t hurt my feet mommy.” She wore them to school and did not complain about hurting feet; so it is a very comfortable shoe. She wear a 13c but the shoe was a 13.5c which was actually a good fit. My first grader loves his Air Max 97 QS’s! The very first day he got them, he wouldn’t take them off. He says they are the most comfortable shoes he’s had, due to the air soles basically running through the whole shoe.The shoes fit true to size, and the color (all black) is great for the rainy Pacific Northwest. After a month of hard play and walking to and from the bus stop in the rain, and the shoes still look fantastic. The material seems durable and should last for the school year.Being basically a pair of solid black shoes, matching outfits has been a breeze. The shoes go with pretty much any outfit. My son hasn’t worn any other shoes to school since he’s gotten the Air Max 97’s.Another solid, timeless classic shoe by Nike!

However I actually like that they're a little tighter because they don't slip off her feet at all. These were for my toddler who wears a size Infant 5 but from the very first time I put them on hers, I could tell they fit but did not look or feel very toddler friendly.
