Well constructed. DO order a half size larger than you normally wear as recommended by Nike and various reviewers. I was initially scared off from buying the Air Monarchs because of the squeaking noise that has been mentioned in previous reviews as I spend my days working and walking on uncarpeted floors. As of this writing, it has yet to materialize. Overall, I am pleased with this purchase experience.

I got these shoes last Christmas, I had the New Balance 624 before that and these are an upgrade. Very stylish look; the swooping logo, the angled design, and the wide stance. These go great with any clothes.During the summer, I was the talk of the neighborhood party. When I would mow, all my neighbors were red with envy (of my stylish shoes, and my yard).During the spring and fall, these were perfect on walks with the wife, the shoes were a little tight at first, but after 2 walks they were perfect. My only complaint is that the laces came undone more than my old New Balance 624s.If you want to be the talk of the neighborhood on your lawn, your grilling skills, and your stylish "kicks" as the kids say, these are the shoes for you.

These Monarch 4 shoes are so comfortable. I usually buy a new pair every couple of years because they are comfortable yet durable. Unfortunately, the last few pairs I bought are squeaky and creaky. With the last pair I bought, the right shoe is squeakier than ever. I mean every step is a loud squeak, even when walking outside. The left shoe is quiet. I took out the insole, and it is still squeaky. There seems to be something rubbing together between the mid sole and the outer sole. The soles seems like they are glued together fine, but the noise says otherwise. Unfortunately, I do not think I will be purchasing these again.

I have been wearing these for work for years. They are very comfortable, and I go through about three pairs a year in my remodeling business. I bought three pairs at once. They all squeaked horribly. I generally will use them to wear out until they progress toa work shoe and finally to a grass cutting shoe. Two of the last three went straight to work but they were so loud and embarrassing I tossed them out. I have seen so many complaints of this I am switching brands!
I've owned Nike Air Monarchs off and on for many years. I just came back to them again with this pair. They fit and wear exactly like they always do, which for me is always a great and comfortable fit. These are a great pair of shoes and made by Nike. This is the first time I have ordered from Nike online and the process was easy and delivery was nothing less than excellent. I'll be buying online from Nike whenever I can from now on.
My husband loves these shoes! He wears a wide width shoes, and there are not many good walking shoes in that width! I do not know how people here complain about longevity of these shoes, because they last many years for my husband,. He loves how light, comfortable and long lasting they are. Just purchased his 3rd pair in the last 20 years, and he never stopped searing these! Would definitely recommend!
I purchased this type of shoe twice for everyday wear. Comfort and fit were great. However, both times, each separate pair, would start to squeak while walking. Very annoying not only to myself but those around me as well. Another issue, the black front being part of the sole, separates from the body of the shoe. Gluing it back with Gorilla Glue and duck tape until it dries, helps fnor a period of time. Love the fit and comfort of the shoe, but not the maintenance.
Nike Air Monarchs have been my go to shoe for about twenty years. These shoes are more than comfortable. In casual these are naturally elegant with world known style and comfort. I always have a “old” for dirty work, a nice pair for everyday wear and the “new” pair for different occasions. The new improvements made make these shoes more desirable. It must be Nike Monarchs!
The shoes were not for me, as I need a shoe with a long "tongue" because I use elastic laces to "slip into" my shoes.Otherwise, the shoes looked very sturdy and durable and I only wish the "tongue" was longer so my elastic laces would work better.On the other hand, the customer support at Nike was fantastic!!! 5 stars!!! Excellent tracking and email communication with regular updates.I'm going to find another pair (maybe running or walking shoes) with a longer tongue at the Nike website.Thank you Nike for your wonderful customer support!!!!
My wife bought me these shoes while she was in the USA. I am a big Nike fan. I use these shoes for work. Sadly, the first day I wore them, I could hear noise coming from my right shoe with every step I took. The more I walked the worse it got. It is clear there is some crack or something inside the base of the shoe. It is at the point where I cannot wear them as it is just aggravating. This is my fist experience with Nike Aire Monarch shoes and my last.
