I was really excited to receive the new edition of the Uptempos as I loved that Scottie Pippen wore them when I was a kid. Materials are quality and the Air pocket underneath makes the shoes feel comfortable while walking. My issue with the shoes is they are a little bulky as they have a large presence especially for a low top. In addition, the toe box is smaller than most other Nikes so make sure to size up a half. Overall they look the part and have a retro feel, but not sure I would be using these shoes to hoop in. Make sure to not wear no show socks with these as well as they do require a longer sock.

Love the 90's Era Nostalgia and Bold Yet Wearable Design

Nostalgia hits hard with the Air More Uptempo Low. As a kid who grew up in the 1990’s, this sneaker brings back all the memories of one of my favorite eras of pro basketball as well as the boldness of 90’s style, with the oversized “AIR” text on the sides and its chunkier design. The gel swoosh accents, visible air units in the midsole, and reflective details just add to its fun and funky aesthetic.I also love how they gave it a more modern twist by making it a low top, which means I can wear it all year, but especially during the hot Arizona summer months. And the clean and simple color palette further enhances its wearability, even in casual settings. I wore it to my office as part of a laid back look and got several compliments! One thing I noticed is that it can be hard to pair with the right pants; I tried a few different options before realizing this sneaker seems to look best with a wider leg or straight fit (as opposed to a tapered or slim fit pant). A nice pair of non-tapered black sweats were the clear winner, at least for me.As for comfort, I don’t think there are any surprises. It’s a retro basketball sneaker, so it’s not the most comfortable shoe I own, but it also has more cushioning and padding than other retros I have—so I’m able to wear it all day without issue. Fit was also spot on for me; I tie my shoes in a straightforward way with an average measure of tightness, and there was no heel slippage or other problems related to the fit.

Love this shoe
26 October 2024

When it comes to basketball shoes, I like to read 3-5 reviews before purchasing. love how this shoe fits my foot. It feels comfortable walking and running when playing basketball. I even wore them for leg day in the gym and was surprised how comfortable my workout was. The design of the shoe definitely turns heads. It goes well with shorts and cargos. I’m a size 10 usually in most of my Nikes but i think a 10.5 would have been better. I really like the bubble lettering around the shoe. It makes the shoe pop with the silver color lettering. The clear air bubble around the shoe is a classic. The fabric on the lettering doesn’t feel cheap or will tear if someone steps on it. I prefer a high top shoe vs low for ankle support. That will be my con for the shoe if you feel ... MoreWhen it comes to basketball shoes, I like to read 3-5 reviews before purchasing. love how this shoe fits my foot. This was my first low top basketball shoe and it wasn’t bad, just my preference. I will definitely purchase other color ways just to wear as a casual shoe.

More Uptempo please!!
26 October 2024

I walk. A LOT. So when I was getting ready to review the Nike Air More Uptempo Lows, I was apprehensive to how comfortable they would be considering I’d never wore a low cut basketball shoe as everyday wear. I was IMPRESSED. This may be the most comfortable shoe I’ve ever put my foot inside and I mean straight out the box. In my experience, a lot of low cut shoes have a tendency to need to be “wore in” as they come stiff, tight and uncomfortable. This shoe felt like I’ve owed it for years (in the best way possible). Furthermore, there was minimal creasing early into wearing it which is a huge pet peeve of mine. No one wants a shoe that looks like an accordion after a day of wear. Adding the sleek design and soft Contouring of the bubbled “air” lettering on the sides, I had a shoe I could wear for quite literally, any occasion. Gym, Work, drinks at the bar it has a great synergy with everything in my wardrobe. If there’s one con I have it’s that I feel shoe might be slightly larger than true to size. I got my exact size but it seemed there was a bit more room than I was comfortable with in the heel area. Also, the shoes could do with a more visual color palette (nothing to crazy) to add a bit more personal expression. All in all this is a MUST have everyday shoe which is something I didn’t see myself saying… 9.1/10

Nike Air More Uptempo…. But lows
26 October 2024

First of all I buy a lot of Nike products and Nike shoes. So here are my thoughts on the Nike Air More Uptempo Lows.So to begin, I got the black and silver ones. The silver “AIR” across a black shoe really pops. The lettering is a soft material. The design shows off the brand with a 3D style pop out lettering. Awesome style connecting the heel of the shoe from “AIR” on both sides of the shoe.Once I put the shoe on I checked to see the size as they at first felt a bit tight. After fixing the laces, the shoe felt true to size. Although I would try a half size bigger to feel the difference.Although lite, it is a bulkier shoe and I wouldn’t recommend it for any foot driven cardio. The comfort of the shoe isn’t bad but isn’t the best. While the heel has great comfort, the side panels are thin and no inside softness. Depens on new socks for side and upper foot comfort. I don’t usually tie my shoes, but I have to with this pair because with every step my heel would literally come out of the shoe. When I did tie them, then the tongue with start to slide down and would need to be readjusted. Shoe laces are good. Silver aglets may also look nice on this pair. The bottom sole on this pair is filled with the air bubble which does create comfort for your soles.Pros:Comfort for your sole. Air bubble throughout the sole of the shoe.Color way choicesGreat heel comfortRetro styleCons:Bulkier shoeThin side panels don’t crest any side comfortTongue has to be readjusted constantlyI do enjoy the design on shoe. The soft letters gives it a different touch. What I’d change about this pair is the side panels. Definitely need to be more comfortable.Overall it’s a decent shoe. It brings the ‘96 Tempo look in a low cut style. While it make lack comfort on the sides, the soles and heel of the shoe have no issues there.I’d recommend if you’re ok with a slightly bulky low cut comforting shoe.

Solid daily wear shoe

The materials - I was surprised by the quality of the materials when I received the shoe - the online photos did not do the shoe justice. The fabric and leather seem high quality as does the stitching. Everything looks really clean. I like how there are little nike swooshes that are placed in different parts of the shoe but are done in a low key way. The only negative is that you can see some of the glue on the front of the shoe but it sticks out more because it is a black shoe. The design - This shoe is pretty unique compared to other "low cut" Nike products like Jordan 1s or Dunks. I have wide feet but the fit felt pretty true to size. I had to lace the shoes a little tighter than I normally like for an every day shoe but once I got the fit right, I liked how comfortable the shoe is.Overall - I would give this shoe 4 stars. I like how these shoes stand out which might not be for everyone. It is a really nice shoe for the fall and winter seasons because it goes well with most any color. I didnt like how they felt a little heavy and clunky but that's also to be expected with a basketball shoe thats not really meant for the court. Overall a solid product.

Sturdy, stylish and clunky shoe
27 October 2024

Shoes fit true to size. They are basketball shoes so they will fit snug. If you like extra room, maybe consider sizing up. The shoes feel heavy and kind of clunky. I would not wear these for performance. The sole doesn’t allow for much flexing. The design is amazing. Super dope. I was a fan of the OG uptempo high, but I think the low is better looking! My friends think they are dope! The material of the shoe is solid. I really like the material on the low top model more than the high top. The material on the “AIR” stands out to me.I like the style of the shoe the most. If I could change anything, I would include an additional pair of laces.

Tempo Lows
25 October 2024

After receiving these kicks I opened the box and was brought back to the 90s for some reason. They have a very nostalgic look. I tried them on and honestly they felt a little bulky at first and a little heavy. Wore them around the house for a couple days to break them in. I wasn’t in love with the way my heels felt in them but I did get used to it. They’re not the most flexible shoe out there. They definitely would not be my go to for pickup basketball either. These to me are more of a “they go with this outfit” look. They look great with jeans. If you have a wide foot and like a flat bottom these would be perfect for you. As far as the look, I love, the feel, I like but wasn’t impressed.

Very modern
23 October 2024

These shoes are very comfortable as are most Nike shoes, I did find that they have a weird height for low top shoes. They were in between mid and low top in my opinion so it sometimes would feel weird when I walked. Other than that they’re very stylish and modern and can easily be paired with any baggy jeans or joggers. The color scheme is great as it can be worn with many different fits. The fabric is a little bit hard to clean due to the “roughness”. I really liked the modern look of these shoes if I were to change anything it would be the height of the top. They were also a little bit chunky, but I like that style.
